Is there a reliable source that tells which cabins on the Magic have the pull down bunk? We're traveling with 3 adults and everyone would prefer their own bed.
Thanks!

You can check the room reports here on the DIS, often people discuss the number of beds in their cabin. None of the 7A cabins have bunks.

There's a great link for this for the Dream class ships, but I haven't found one for the Classics.

Also, this could be laborious, but I did this when I was not certain of accommodations: if you pick a cruise very far in the future and search for staterooms for four people, you may find rooms with the pull-down bunk by default.

If you're talking about the cabin review thread stickied to the top of the page, you can put in the stateroom number and it will pull up all the reviews for all applicable ships.

Thanks guys! The stateroom reviews are helpful for some rooms, but people don't always mention how many people they had in the room, so it's kind of hit or miss. I'll also try searching for cabins for 4 passengers on the DCL site to see what I can find out. I'm surprised there's no list with this information, especially for the classic ships since they've been around for awhile...

No, those do not always seem to be reliable/accurate. There's a separate link where someone is tracking for the Dream class if there's a Murphy bed, pull down bunk, sofa only, etc.

Ditto. All rooms that fits 4 on either Classic or Dream class ships will have a bunk bed. Rooms that sleeps 5 will have a bunk and murphy bed.

Gotcha. Though I think it's stretching it to say that someone's experience of a cabin is not reliable/accurate...

You'd be surprised! I was researching four rooms, which are in the forward section of the ship. There were differing reports for the exact same rooms on the same ship. Some said it was an aft room. Some were even listed on the wrong deck! This tells me that people are filling out some information incorrectly on these stateroom reports, perhaps the room number is incorrect. Also they may have only had, for example, two people in the room so they're not reporting if the room has a pull-down bunk or not.

Ah, gotcha.

Though in fairness there are no instructions to report if there is a pull-down bed. I know I never bother to look.

Some people do, some might not even know there was a pull-down bunk. For this reason, I've found the statetoom reports are not a good way to collect all the info you may need, that's why I was wishing for a compilation as they have for the Dream class being attempted.

I have an old copy of the Passporter book (2008) that lists how many each room holds.

As KristiMc reports -- that information is listed in an older version of the Passporter book, but it was removed in newer versions. You might find a copy at your local library to see if they have an older version when it was just the classic ships.

Enjoy your cruise!

During the Magic's dry dock, were any room updates made changing number of passengers , do you know? Curious if my 2010 Passporter is still accurate.

This is another reason why I use a TA. At least my TA is always able to tell me which staterooms have the pull down berth. I don't know if they all know this though.

Sometimes even the TAs and Disney don't know. We booked a 4A and specifically asked if it had a Murphy bed. Three times the TA and Disney assured me that it did (I was sitting there when she asked the CM, so I know they were giving her the answer). It didn't have it. No big loss, but you'd think they'd have that information on their computers.
