Considering the Poly for a Feb trip w/our 3 kids. We are never really in the room so I'm not concerned about space issues - just wanted to know if our 10 year old would fit on the pull out bed under the TV. He's about 100lbs and just under 5ft tall. Saw a few photos but without a child or adult on the bed I can't see if this is going to work. Have always wanted to stay at Polynesian...

We stayed at the Poly last week and I had a nap on the pull down bed for research purposes. I am a short girl of 5ft but on the larger side at around 190lbs - I was fine on it. it was actually really comfortable.

When we stayed in May, I had an adult male over 6 feet tall and a pretty big guy, sleep all night on the pull down bed and did not complain at all. And he certainly would have complained had it not been comfortable. Your 10 y.o. will be more than fine! :teeth:

I agree and will add that Poly has the most space so the room is still functional even with it pulled down.

If it is the couch bed you'll be fine. I'm a 5'6" adult that weighs 170 lbs and I slept on it for 5 nights. It was fine. It is a firm mattress which I am not use to but after getting another pillow I settled in a little easier.

Do folks think there would be room in the studio for a twin air mattress, along with the couch open and the pull-down bed? (Nope, not trying to sneak in extra people, so please don't yell at me. The kids would just prefer their own beds if possible. They are teens. Thanks!)

I haven't been in a studio but if it is anything similar to the standard view regular hotel room I had you should be fine. We could have easily fit a twin size bed between the two queens. The issue is really space when you are getting dressed for the day or getting ready for bed. There wouldn't be much space at all with a twin bed.

Just saw the studios are not set up anything like a traditional standard room. It looks like the bed is one of the few not on a platform so you could push the mattress under it while getting ready. The problem is with the queen sleeper sofa and the pull down twin bed I can't see where a twin mattress would go since the table is in front of the couch.

I think it would be hard to find another space to put a twin sized airbed. When the murphy bed is down, there isn't any space at the end of the bed/sleeper sofa.

Hmm, it would be tight if it did fit, GBBTomorrow. I think there might be room at the end of the sleeper sofa bed if you pushed the little table and 2 chairs over as far as you could. Again, not sure since it was May that we stayed but it is true that there would be no room between the end of the queen bed and the murphy bed when down.

We posted some photos of our PVB studio on our trip report here. The room photos start in Post #6. You can judge for yourself if there is enough room for an extra air mattress. There is one photo that shows how much space there is between the Murphy bed and the queen bed.

Yes, there is enough "floor space" in a PVB to put a twin air mattress, even with the Murphy bed and sleeper sofa in use. A twin air mattress could fit between the open Murphy bed and the queen bed, or at the foot of the opened sofa. The problem is your family will have very little walking space. If anyone needs to use the bathroom during the middle of the night, they will probably wake up half the family.

I think it would be extremely tight based upon our recent October trip.:scratchin ENJOY!:goodvibes

The pull down beds will work for anyone. Cannot remember but there may be room to put a twin air mattress in the hallway near the door.
