Day 3 – Part Three

Still at Dumbo, I got a photo of the new train station.

DH and DS came to meet us and we rode the Barnstormer – again – all together. It was fun. Then we headed back out to Fantasyland to get some rides in with no wait before the crowds descended.

So we rode Pooh.

And the Carousel

And Snow White. For the last time – really – this time was the last.

Then we rode Peter Pan.

I noticed the standby time for this is 25 minutes so we must have gotten FP's at some point because I know we didn't wait at all for this. Probably, DH and DS got them before meeting us at the Barnstormer.

Then we headed over to Haunted Mansion

We rode all of these rides with no wait.

The crowd was starting to pick up however, so we headed back over to Tomorrowland to get FP’s for Buzz Lightyear.

Awesome that you got to ride all of those rides with no wait! It really pays to go so early in the morning! The new train station looks really really nice. Was it weird going from Fantasyland to Haunted Mansion with that narrow path?

I am not sure what you mean. It was weird going all the way back to the Barnstormer and Dumbo with nothing but that giant wall there. But thankfully, that is temporary. I can't wait to see the new Fantasyland all opened up. But we just went to HM from PP right through the arch there like we always do.

Oh just kidding, I was thinking about the actual HM queue. I had read that they put up extra walls around it and that there was eventually going to be different path from Fantasyland, but I guess that's happened since your trip. Sorry, didn't mean to be confusing hahah.

Really ?? I hadn't heard that. That will be interesting to see when we go back. I think that area can get to be a bottleneck, so perhaps they are going to try to improve it some. I dunno. I guess we will see. I just can't wait until all of the major construction is out of the way. It seems like these last couple of years all that you see is a wall or scrim up. But I guess we should be thankful that they are keeping everything ship shape for us. They had a large wall up at the Nemo entrance at Epcot and I wasn't sure what that was all about.

I'm so jealous you got to do so much in such a short period of time. I really need to start jumping on AM EMH. I think over Thanksgiving we definitely will.

It is hard to get up and get going when you are on vacation, but it really is worth it. We are going at Thanksgiving, too !! I will keep an eye out for you !!

Lots to catch up on!

Via Napoli- I’m surprised the waitress was not clear that the pizza would arrive after the other entrees. When we went they told us more than once, DDs pizza would arrive after my dish. Of course when we went the place had only been open a month or so. Maybe they were better about it then. I wasn’t all that impressed with Via Napoli when we went. It was kinda slow then too. The lemonade they hyped was not at all good, and I make a better chicken parm than what I had there. I decided if we ever went back, we’d just get a pizza to share as that seemed to be what they did well.

Good for you getting on the bus! Sorry you missed the Magic Morning Show though. That is a downside in taking the bus. It seems to me they aren’t running as many busses in the early a.m. as they will at say 9:00, but of course that makes sense. As you pictures show, so few people are willing to get up and out to be there first thing.

DD’s first rollercoaster was the Barnstormer. She bawled all the way through and when we got off. She said it was awful and please don’t make her ride it again. Meanwhile her 4 y.o. cousin loved it. Well 20 min. later she was asking to ride it again. LOL! I love the new train station in Fantasyland! They did such a wonderful job on what has opened so far in the expansion. I’m so excited to see the rest. Especially the Be Our Guest Restaurant! I think we’ll have to go for Thanksgiving for sure in the off-chance it is open then!

We did our last time on Snow White ride back in Oct. I kind of feel bad for not doing one more “last time” ride this last time. Oh well. We were never really fans of the ride.

I really hope we can work out a long weekend trip over the summer. I don’t think we could go until later in June though. Amy is getting married the Saturday before Father’s Day, and DD has a two week dance program that is on either side of the wedding. One of these days I’d like to go to WDW for Independence Day. That will be the next step in working the way up to going between Christmas and New Years.

Yeah Via Napoli just wasn't worth the hype - at all.

I am wondering if - since they say it will be open - we could get a ressie for the Be Our Guest Restaurant ?? And I also wonder how many TS credits it will be. Since it is going to be such a big place, I am guessing just one.

I really hope you can go at Thanksgiving because I am not having much luck convincing DH to go in June. We owed - A LOT - to the IRS this year and he is nervous about spending extra money and I can't blame him. We are going 11/20-11/25 so I hope you can go then. We are wait listed for BLT and BWV, but can stay at SSR if none of those pan out.

I guess we COULD borrow points from next year to go in June. We are only planning one big trip next year because we are moving our cruise to Thanksgving 2013 Then we would just have to worry about food and gas, because we could use our annual passes and we still have water park annual passes, but I think they expire around June 22 or something like that. Could you go before then ?? The weekend before Father's day weekend looks good since DH is off. And our anniversary is the 13th. Lemme do some figuring ....

Day 3 – Part Four

After riding Haunted Mansion, we head over to Tomorrowland for some Buzz Lightyear FP's

The kids wanted to use some snack credits so we went to Auntie Gravities to get some root beer floats.

Very yummy and enjoyable. The kids really like these as well. The soft serve you get at this location is excellent.

After our snack, we rode the Peoplemover

Also known to us as the Blue Train.

After riding the Blue Train, we went over to the Space Mountain gift shop to look around until it was time for our Buzz FP’s. We didn’t buy anything, but it was fun to look at everything. We snagged some FP’s for Space Mountain before we went over to ride Buzz.

DS and DH were going to hang around in Tomorrowland until it was time for DS to ride Space Mountain. In the meantime, DD and I went over to the Emporium for some shopping. The Noodle Station was open, so we cut through there. Photos on the way.

DD bought a baby Dumbo.

And I got ….a string bag

A T-shirt

A visor

And since I had spent enough money, I threw in a castle throw.

Which DD has claimed as hers because it is so soft and has taken to dragging it around the house the last couple of days because it has actually cooled off a little here some.

When we were done, we waited on the bleachers inside Casey’s and watched some old school Disney cartoons while we waited for the boys to meet up with us.

I love taking time out inside Casey's! The old cartoons just mesmerize the kids, and it is usually fairly quiet.

I have never had the root beer floats, but now I am adding to my snack list!

This is the first time we had taken advantage of resting there. I had heard of if but had never seen it. When we saw it, I knew it was the perfect place to rest for the guys. The old school cartoons were very entertaining.

Those root beer floats are seriously the best we've ever had. So refreshing. They really fill you up for a couple of hours and get you through to your next ADR. Good stuff.

That sounds like it'd be awesome! Yeah I do have a trip coming up, three months from now to be exact, but it just seems so far away! It's only been a little over four months since I was there but it feels like so much longer!

I got him to agree to a short stay in June over Father's Day weekend. I sold him on the fact that we had annual passes we need to use again, PLUS we had water park annuals passes that expired at the end of June. So we only need to pay for food and gas. And he said OK. YAY !!! It's hard because my bestie can't go because her sister is getting married that weekend. And I really like it when our trips coincide.
