Day 2 – Part Seven

So we are still at Epcot after our dinner at Via Napoli.

Moving on. Some topiaries outside.

There was a band playing. I can’t remember what they were playing (I think it was Chubby Checker, but I’m not sure), but we liked it and stopped to listen for a while.

The kids love the gift shop in Japan.

And they had to have a Kaki Gori. They just love these things and they are a snack credit. Basically, it is a snow cone, but a high end one. Really nice shaved ice with cherry syrup. The kids both love these.

And her silly little poodle had to be in the photo, too.

It was about time for Illuminations to start, so we headed through France, UK and Canada pretty quick.

We snagged a place on the edge of Canada and settled in to watch.

I just love Illuminations. And the music is so lovely. I keep meaning to get it on my iPhone so I can listen to it in the car on the way to work, which is about 35 minutes each way. So after the fireworks, we were all pretty tired and we had EMH in the morning, so we headed out. Epcot was closing anyway.

We headed back to Animal Kingdom Lodge and went to bed. It was an exhausting but great day.

I love the Illuminations music too! I used to have the CD with it and the Tapestry of Nations song on it as well, but it went missing! (It's still on my Itunes though! )

Maybe try searching IllumiNations soundtrack mp3 (come to think of it that's probably what I did) and pick the one that seems the least sketch. Hahah. Anyways, you got great photos of the show! Those Pooh topiaries are adorable as well.

OK. I searched both Illuminations and Tapestry of Dreams on iTunes and got nothing. Well, I got some church-y stuff, which is fine, but not what I'm looking for. I would love to have this on my iPhone. Does anyone know how to get it ??

Day 3 – Part 1

Today was our Magic Kingdom day. And they had early EMH at 8 AM. So we got up at 7 AM. Since we always have a car with us, we have never taken the bus to the parks. But one of my BFF’s (Pixie Princess here on the Dis) suggested taking the bus to Magic Kingdom even though we had a car. She said it was just faster to get there because the bus drops you off right at the park and you don’t have to go through the whole TTC and monorail thing. So we hopped on the bus about 7:30 AM and took our first WDW bus ride.

And apparently I took a monorail photo instead of riding it.

And the bus was faster – and less stressful. We got there right at 8 AM, but STILL just missed the opening show. Still have never seen it. Sigh.

At this point, DH took DS to ride Space Mountain which none of the rest of us wanted to ride – too jerky. While DD and I hightailed it over to the two things that were finally open in the new Fantasyland. The Barnstormer and Dumbo !!

Day 3 – Part Two

The Barnstormer is DD’s favorite ride and she was sad when they closed it down. So she was VERY happy that it was back open again.

So we hopped in line

And got right on the ride.

And it was fun. So we rode again.

And then …. We rode again, but we just stayed on this time. How many times was that ?? Three ?? Four ?? I dunno. I think we rode it five times in a row. And DD just loved it !! After that, we got in line for Dumbo.

It is so pretty.

Your first Disney bus ride!!! How exciting! (Well, maybe you didn't think so, hahaha.) The day the new Dumbo and Barnstormer opened up, I was STALKING pictures of it all day. It's SO awesome! The new color scheme and the water feature are both just so great. Can't wait to see those in person!

By the way, I meant for you to search the internet for the IllumiNations soundtrack, I don't think iTunes would have it unfortunately.

We really enjoyed our bus ride. We chatted with the nicest people on the bus.

It really is pretty. I so can't wait to see the rest of it. We are going at Thanksgiving, so everything but the Dwarf Mine coaster should be done by then. Sooo exciting !!

I'm glad you got to experience a Disney bus. While I prefer to take our car my kids just love riding the bus.

It really is the best. And we always apply this strategy. We have gotten a breakfast ADR or two and it always slows down your day. So now, we just grab a quick breakfast and head in at rope drop every morning. That way we can go back to the resort and get some rest and some pool time.

We will be taking advantage of the bus more often for sure.
