to my Pre-Trip report of our upcoming October (1-8th) Trip to WDW! My trio consists of myself (35), my DH (33) and our DS (4). This will be my 8th trip, my DH 4th and our DS’ FIRST TRIP TO WALT DISNEY WORLD!! AHHHHHHH!!

I has an excite! Seriously, I am so excited for this trip, I could burst. We talk about it all the time (sometimes to the chagrin of my DH) and while we try to get DS to watch the Planning Video, he usually loses interest about 3 minutes in and walks away 4 year olds…..

The Who

Okay so here we are:

Me- 35 year old Disney addict. I am a WDWCP Alumni (2002 Fall Advantage, Main Street East). I work for an IT Company in Client Relations and Assistant to the CEO.

DH- 33 year old Converted Disney Addict. Network Engineer. My rock. DH wanted a cruise for our Honeymoon, but after hearing me lament about going to Disney, he changed our honeymoon to a Disneymoon and now loves all things Mouse just as much as me.

Favorite Character: Sorcerer Mickey
Favorite Movie: Pirates of the Caribbean
Favorite Park: Epcot

DS- 4 years old and really didn’t have a chance with his Disney addiction. He loves Jake and the Neverland Pirates, especially Izzy and Mr. Smee.

The Why

Does anyone really need a specific reason to go to Disney? I mean, it’s DISNEY!!!! But for this trip, we are specifically going for our DS’ FIRST TIME EVER (and to partake in Food and Wine Festival…..)

The Where

Last November, we were in Orlando for a conference and had 2 days to tack on a whirlwind trip to the MK and DHS. We started chatting up a very nice couple in line at PP who had a DVC tote. We had toured DVC on our Disneymoon almost 9 years prior but at the time, being newlyweds and the restrictions on how Disney wanted you to buy points at that time , well, it put DVC out of the running (but not out of our minds). So we decided to forgo the morning of our DHS day and tour DVC again and see what they have to say.

Well, whatever they said worked (although I almost threw something at our sales person within the first 3 minutes of him talking. I dislike arrogant people and he came off STRONG) and we walked out that afternoon as DVC Members. So the Where of this trip is super exciting to me! We will be staying at BLT! Never in my wildest dreams did I think we could EVER stay on a Monorail resort, but here we are.
