We are finally doing it. Hubby and I are taking our son (who will be barely 10) and our daughter (7) to WDW. This will be our first trip to WDW and we are flying in from Oregon. This will also be the first airplane experience for our children, and the first time I've flown in about 10 years. I hate flying, but I will be strong for the kids and try and make the flight awesome for them.

We have NEVER spent so much money on a vacation before, so the whole action of planning has been a bit stressful. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE to plan, but this type of planning is not what I am used to. There are so many factors!

I want to make sure we have a fantastic time, one that our kids will remember fondly when they are all grown up, but so much of that is out of my hands really. We are going at the end of May to take advantage of the Free Dining because we wouldn't be able to go otherwise. Being the planner that I am, I am expecting the worse in terms of heat and crowds. We are staying at Pop Century, which our family is excited about, and we are the early-riser types, so getting to the rope drop won't be an issue. We are packing a few breakfast / snack items in one of the suitcases (like poptarts & starbucks via, lol) so we can basically eat most breakfasts in the room while we get dressed. So while that part of the morning seems organized, I am still deciding which parks to do on which days!

With The Unofficial Guide in hand, I have about 3 months to figure that part out! :upsidedow

Yeah! Trip paid in full! :cool1:
Now I have to remember to order my rewards card, and do some shopping for "summer" clothes for the family.

Excuse letters have been sent to the teachers, and approved!
A few weekends ago we went "vacation shopping", and bought summer clothes, sunglasses, sunscreen and a bunch of odds and ends to pre-pack into the suitcase ahead of time. It was POURING rain and pretty darn cold when we went shopping, but I think the whole family was feeling the pre-trip excitement.

We just need to get a few more things, but over-all we are in the waiting-for-mickey-mail stage. So excited!
