That's right, we took the plunge and spend far more money than is ever going to be reasonable on a Castle Club room at the DLH! We'll be there between the 9th-13th June but staying in a hotel in Ashford on the 8th (saves all the early morning driving down to get the Eurostar ;) )

So the cast:
Me- 16 and quite possibly the most excited :cheer2:
DSis- 6, the littlest princess princess:
DMum- might prefer I don't reveal her age.. 25 forever! :thumbsup2
DDad- 42.. or 43.. oh god! He's being slightly dragged along but we all know he really wants to be there, no fooling us! :goodvibes

One of the things we're most excited about is our Castle Club lift that will take us pretty much directly to the Park! That and the fact we'll have VIP fastpasses- we found these an absolute godsend in the February half term 2012 when we were staying in the Empire State room at the HNY :) Not too sure what the crowds are going to be like this time, it's a first for us in June! Anyone else got any experiences? We're not going during any school holidays as far as we're aware (we did check) but seeing as the summer season is beginning we really don't know what to expect!

We're all absolutely gutted that BTM is closed for the whole trip (family favourite) and Crush's Coaster for all but the first day! Not too fussed about Dumbo because we only ever do it in EMA for the sake of it. Still, I feel like the atmosphere might be a bit lacking in Fantasyland and Frontierland because of the closures :sad2:

My mother and I have been working on a list of restaurants we want to do but we're struggling- there's too much choice and not enough time! Our MUST DO list includes Agrahbah Cafe, Blue Lagoon, Rainforest Cafe, Earl of Sandwich, Blockbuster Cafe and Fuente Del Oro. I really want to try new places like Plaza Gardens and Walt's but with only 4 days of lunches and dinners it's going to be a bit of a squeeze! :rotfl2:

I only need to get my one final Psychology exam out of the way on the 5th June and I'll be free to pack and repack and repack again- very excited! I must locate the camera charger.. :headache: For this holiday I want to make a video that sort of captures and sums up the memories we'll make during this trip and as far as I'm aware my little red Nikon compact takes decent HD video with good sound quality :) not so sure what editing software I'll use, not too keen on using bloomin' windows live movie maker! Maybe dad will let me use his Macbook... ;) Oh and by my sister's request, I have a video of her excitement when listening to Magic Everywhere which you can watch for yourself here. Excuse the mess haha!

My biggest concern now is clothing- I'm so not used to going to DLP in warmer weather so I'm planning on a lot of oversized t-shirts and leggings! I could lie and say I'm forgetting about style because I'll be on holiday and who cares but this is pretty much all I wear anyway! I also realised recently that I don't have any suitable shoes :scared1: I would wear my Doc Martens but they're so heavy and hot for the summer and my most comfortable shoes besides those are my Vans which I really doubt would keep me on my feet the whole week. I panicked a little with less than a week to go until we leave and ordered some Nike Blazers (£15 off in a sale though, I feel like this makes the spending more justified!). I really do worry far too much about my feet, it always ends up the same every time: my feet are sore no matter how much I believe good shoes can avoid any aches and pains! Anyone else have the same packing panics?

1 WEEK UNTIL WE'LL BE THERE!

What a lovely trip you've got planned :thumbsup2

Lucky you at the DLH Castle Club :cool1:

We've been in June a couple of times, towards the end of the month, and it is always very warm :cool2:. There can be crowds as there tends to be a lot of school group visits, but with your VIP Fastpasses it'll be more then manageable ;)

And as for feet.....I won't go near DLP without my trusted Birkenstocks :thumbsup2

Wow, how amazing that you get to stay in the Castle Club! I think that is something I will be dreaming about forever :cloud9:

I would say that unless you are absolutely desperate to do Rainforest Cafe, go to Walt's/Plaza Gardens instead. Whilst the atmosphere is great, the food is mediocre and having eaten at PG on my last trip and Rainforest the one before, I would definitely choose PG over Rainforest next time :goodvibes obviously that is just my opinion!

I have worn trusty Converse for my past two trips and been more than fine :thumbsup2

Good luck with your exam! I did Psychology a level and know it can be quite tough :)

Crush is closed during your trip...............where did you get that info from????? Its not listed on any list have seen!!!! Aggh say it isn't so!

Thank you! :) Hopefully we can handle the crowds, we're getting more used to it now! I swear we accidentally always pick crowded times to visit these days, we went in September 2011 during term time not expecting crowds but WOW.. it was ridiculously busy! :confused3

I know, I really don't think it's something I'll ever be able to do again! :sad2:

That's not a bad plan, although not sure how DSis would handle not making a trip to Rainforest Cafe because she absolutely loves the animals! Maybe we'll have to wing it and hope we can squeeze it all in

Can't beat converse sometimes :goodvibes

I have the DLP app on my phone and it's listed on the closures between 10th-14th June and opening again on the 15th :sad2: I'm praying it isn't true but seeing as it's come from the app I can't help but think it might be right :sad1:

I'm glad I read your trip report, or I might not have known about Crush until arrival!

Castle Club sounds excellent! Hope you have a lovely time...then again, how could you not? ;)
We've never been during warm weather, so I'm finding packing difficult...and don't even get me started on the mental list I have, that really needs to be a written list, but I just can find the time...next week will quickly be here, and it then will be too late!:rotfl:

Hope you have a fantastic time!
(Fingers crossed we all have good weather next week!!) :cheer2:

has just appeared on official Disneyland paris site too.....Nooooooooooooooooooo, cannot believe it! Thank God we have RC racer ;) Enjoy your trip!

I know, it's gutting! But yes, thank god we have RC racer! TOT is also a godsend for me and my dad :cool1: Thank you :goodvibes

Glad I could be of assistance! :cool1:

Thank you :goodvibes I hope you have a lovely trip too!

I'm exactly the same as you here, although now my final exam is over and done with and I'm free from revision I've finally been able to get some more lists going :thumbsup2 I keep writing and re-writing and then re-writing again my packing list! Struggling to figure out what I'm going to want to be wearing seeing as every website has a totally different forecast for our time there :sad2: the met office has our arrival date as being stormy but lots of other places don't even have it as anything more than a light shower :headache:
I don't even have waterproof shoes or even a jacket so lets hope it is just a light shower we can avoid! :thumbsup2
