The first thing I should tell you before I get started here is that I am a Disneylandaholic. My DH and I just got back from Disneyland (9/5 - 9/9), then I went a week later with my niece...My DH surprised me with an AP upgrade of my ticket, so I decided I am going to go for Halloween time and Holiday time because it's been years since I've seen the park decorated! So here I go...
The cast:
Me! Okay, so Thursday afternoon and Friday morning I will be in the park by myself for the first time. I'm a little nervous about going solo, but I'm excited to see how it goes. I figure the worst case senario is that I hate it and I'll never do it again...I can always hang out at my hotel and watch trashy TV and work on a crocheting project if I'm feeling too alone and just need to get outta there.
On Friday I am going to Mickey's Halloween Party with my DH's biological son's girlfriend. Phew. That's a fingerful to type! I'll just call her DHBSG.
When DH and I were at Disneyland earlier this month, his bio-son and aforementioned DHBSG joined us for the day. It was so nice - it was the one anniversary of DH and bio-son's first face to face meeting. 
Awwww. So, what better way to celebrate than Disneyland?
We are the ridiculous people in the front. (Bio-son, DHBSG, DH, and I'm on the far right). The proper caption for this picture: See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil - and most importantly, SMELL NO EVIL!
So, DHBSG and I are both getting dressed up as Disney characters for Mickey's Halloween Party, and I'll post pictures from the party. You can laugh right along with me at my crapy sewing skills and ridiculous outfit.
The plan:
9/30 I'm driving down early morning (yay for eight hours in the car?
) and then hitting the park to ride my favorite TOT! I'll make my way over to my hotel, grab some dinner, and hit the sac early. I hope there is a fun movie on...
10/1 Getting to the park right at opening - this will be a first, seeing as DH always wants to stop for breakfast and mosey his way over to the park. I'm going to try to hit as many of my favorite rides as possible...who am I kidding - I'm going to be waiting anxiously for DCA to open so I can ride TOT 12 times in a row
Yeah, I have issues and love that ride. It still scares me every single time I ride it, but it is so awesome I can't help but ride it over and over again. I'm excited to see if being a single rider really reduces wait time - it should be warm, so I'm looking forward to the single rider Splash Mountain line. Ahhhhh...
Hitting the hotel around lunchtime, eating, nappin', and then, operation get into costume! DHBSG will be meeting me at my hotel, we will drive over and park her car and head into the party. SO EXCITED!!
10/2 If going solo is not horrible, then I may head into the park for a few hours before driving home (boo for eight hours in the car
).
What's left to do?
That is all I have worked out at this point, seeing as I just decided to leave yesterday.
Wish me luck because I still have to sew my costume (yeah, I'll be wishing on a star for some magic with this project
) and get all of my homework done before I can head out on Thursday.

laundry must be the focus on this awesome Monday...
One of my dogs had been very ill for the past month - so ill we thought we might have to put her to sleep - but she made a turn around and now I think I love her more than I ever did before, so leaving her was extremely hard. I know the DH will take good care of her, but she's old and I just wanted to make sure I had some quality time before I left.
