We have flights booked through Cathay pacific for sept 20th flying to Hong Kong first for 2 nights.
Have already booked those 2 nights at the Hong Kong Disneyland hotel.
We were going to stay near Nathan rd but got a great deal at disney so couldn't pass it up.
Will probably spent time at hotel when we arrive mid arvo, maybe do harbour cruise that night.
Sightsee the next day big Buddha etc then disneyland the next day as our flight doesn't leave til quite late.
Then we fly to la for 3 nights we think probably staying at Hollywood orchid suits.
Then head to disney for 7 nights.
Not sure where we will stay yet.
Looking at
Bwppi
Tropicana
Or maybe the new Marriott that's opening soon.
Really having trouble deciding. Would like to be as close as possible to the park to walk, preferably 2 rooms or a big room.
Best western park place inn has breakfast but that might have renovation during our stay effecting breakfast.
We can get a disney room at tropicana but its more then the western but you get 2 rooms and apparently view of fireworks.
Anyone know how much further the new Marriott with the water park is away? Says its close but wondering how much further out then the others it is?
After disney we go to San Diego for 2 nights staying at the best western bayside inn, which is all booked.
Then we get on a 5 night disney cruise to Mexico!!
After that we head to lego land for 2 nights. Still need to book that hotel.
Then will have 1 night in la before a 9am flight the next day. Not sure where we will stay yet maybe hotel close to the airport.
It's our first ever time to any disney so we are pretty excited:)
Kids will be 5 and 8 then.
We've got 5 day park hoppers already and are hoping for a Halloween party one night we are there we will use as a park day too.
Purchased photo pass plus yesterday too:)

Would love any tips you can give:)

Sounds like a great trip! And you've got lots planned and locked in as well.

Good luck picking a Anaheim hotel. I can't comment about the Tropicana or the new Marriott. But if you like the sound of BWPPI, have you looked at the BWP Anaheim Inn? It's just up the road and some of the US Dis-sers like it. I did see one of the rooms when I was there in October last year and it looked fine to me.

Wow sounds like an amazing trip!! I think you're definitely doing it in the right order. Not that HKDL isn't great, but if you did it after DL you might be slightly disappointed by the smaller scale of it. Can't give you much advise for a DL hotel unfortunately, my first visit isn't until October and I'm staying at the Super 8. I'm cheap :)

The Hollywood Orchid Suites is a good choice, especially if you want to go to Universal.
I would not leave it too long to book, it is very popular.
Any of the hotels across from DL would be good, not to far to walk, just depends on your budget.
I have stayed at Carousel Inn& Fairfield Inn both were fine.

The Marriott that's being built is across the road from Hojos, next to Fairfield Inn. It is easily walkable (5-10 mins) to the park

The Hollywood orchid suits is all booked now:)
Still non idea where to stay at disney but leaning toward the new Marriott. Just wish I knew prices and could book now. Is it likely they will have opening specials?
Have also contemplated doing a split stay 4 nights park vue then 3 at paradise pier but not sure I can justify the extra cost for a disney hotel.
Park vue unfortunately doesnt have the room We want available for the full 7 nights only the first 4.

Great PTR - You will love HKDL Hotel, it is beautiful and I don't think you will regret your decision to stay there, especially when everything in HK is so accessible, the public transport is a breeze and so convenient! I also agree, great order to do it in. I did visit HKDL after I visited USA DL, but separate trips. I was not disappointed, as I was longing for a Disney fix and it did it for me, but to do them both on the same trip, with HK last might be a let down! Have you seen all the great new entertainment coming for Disneyland's 60th? I think I will be losing sleep over the thought of it soon!!

We have flights booked through Cathay pacific for sept 20th flying to Hong Kong first for 2 nights.

Snap!! Where are you flying from? We are on the 6:25am flight out of Adelaide that same day!

Our Hong Kong itinerary is a little different - we're staying for 3 nights on Nathan Road, then 2 nights at the Disneyland Hotel.

The we head to Japan!! We fly to Osaka for a week touring the Kansai region, take the Shinkansen to Tokyo for 4 nights, and then we're staying at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel for 5 more nights. It's our 25th Wedding Anniversary gift to ourselves! :love2:

Enjoy your trip! We can't wait for ours!

We will be on the same flight Macturkey101! We leave from Adelaide too!
Sounds like a great trip!

Have booked free cancellation in a disney suit at the tropicana inn for the moment. It was the only 2 suit room left for the full 7 nights that close avaliable. I think the only "disney" thing about it is that it has a balcony with view of the fireworks.
Will keep checking other options though incase something better comes up, or the new marriott turns out to be in our price range:)
Wish the DL halloween party dates would come out soon though. Turns out our cruise will be halloween themed and theres a possibility of a halloween party at legoland and seaworld if we go there. So plenty of opportunities to experience our first halloween:)

Got someone organized to make our FE for the cruise and have some of our FE gifts planned already. Also managed to get some cheap prate costumes for the kids for the cruise pirate night!

Have now booked the new Marriott opening in August for our disney stay.
Booked lansky for our transport from la to disney.
Paid off cruise and gratuities and check in for cruise is Tuesday afternoon!
Paid for goofys dinner the first night we arrive and one character breakfast, although not sure what one. Either Minnie's or surfs up on our last day.
Halloween dates have been announced and there are 3 parties on while we are there so tempted to do 2, but I'm sure 1 will be enough, either the mi day or Wednesday one.
Still need to book legoland hotel (will do this week) and get tickets. Also need to book car hire.
I can finalise our FE gifts for the cruise now too:)

Sounds like a fabulous trip! We like to stay at the Park Vue Inn directly across from DL. Free breakfast, parking and Wi-Fi plus rooms with bunk beds for the kids. Check out traveljigsaw/rentalcars.com for car hire. They include the necessary insurances for international travllers. We have used at least 6 times in the USA and have had no problems at all. Decent rates too!

Looks like you have almost everything sorted, great job!!
