PTR Feb 2016: What do you mean we're going to Disneyland? Updated 02/23 5 Days to Go Update!

Your welcome bag looks amazing!

I think that your husband would be completely understanding if you had to skip HM - it is for a good reason. It's not like you just decided you didn't want to ride because you didn't like it.

I've never been at a Disney park during Easter time, but if they do it like they do any of the other holidays, I'm sure it will be fantastic! Enjoy the egg hunt!

first off - that bag you got from Disneyland is super cool! really nice compared to just a box with a bunch of papers in it! And glad you both got your favorite of the fab 5 on your tickets ... sometimes little things like that can mean a lot and just get you more positive about a trip!

I think you have a good attitude about the HM - if the CM will let you get around the elevator by going backstage, then great - if not, it wasn't meant to be. While definitely a bummer (don't want to minimize that) it also isn't the end of the world if you don't get on that ride with your husband. Maybe you can think of something to do or a snack to get or something that he isn't really into to do while he rides that

Lastly, it was nice of your boss to think of you and bring back the items she did!

5 Days to Go Update!

Thank you guys so much for being so understanding. It really does help! After a lot of discussion with my husband, I've decided to try and get through it regardless and think of it as a silly old-school haunted house. I mean, that's what it is anyways! And I know my dad would not want me to be all caught up over something like this. I know he never even thought about the type of effect this would have on me - and it's selfish of me to think things like that. I've been learning a lot about suicide and doing a TON of research about this stuff. Plus, logically, it doesn't even make sense how that body got up there at HM anyways. And I guess this is kind of sick to think about - but if I do think of my dad during that scene, I can think of him the rest of the ride as if he has joined the party and dancing and singing... that things are all so much better for him now. I hope that doesn't freak anyone out. I'm just trying to figure out how to think about this so that I can "move on" with my life. I don't really believe in moving on, I believe in growing on. AND I WANT TO SEE THE HAT BOX GHOST!! :cool2: And i reserve the option to bow out if I want to - that helps me not have anxiety over this. My husband is totally understanding and he is worried I'll regret not going on, and he's probably right.

Anyways... on to some better stuff... FIVE DAYS UNTIL DISNEYLAND!!

We have our Super Shuttle set up to pick us up on Friday now - sad. It's like I'm already planning on coming home.

I am trying to figure out where we want to eat when we arrive. I really wanted to utilize our hotel and grab lunch/dinner on Sunday at Tangaroa Terrace but it doesn't look like there are good vegetarian options there at all. I wanted to head into California Adventure and see the Mad T Party after eating and then scoot over to Disneyland to ride Indiana Jones and just enjoy the first night there... just so confused on what to eat.

What else... I added back a World of Color package for Monday night at Wine Country! I couldn't resist really... plus wine!

We are also thinking about checking out Zootopia on Thursday night since the parks close at 8 PM that night and there is a 10 PM showing at the AMC. Decisions... :goodvibes

That's it for now... I've got a call here at work I need to be on. Thanks again so much for following along! I don't know if I'll have any other PTR updates, but I cannot wait to start telling you guys about our fabulous trip!

I'm glad you've found a way to cope with HM  You will really love seeing the Hatbox Ghost. My first time riding I almost missed him because he appears so suddenly, so keep your eye out for him!

5 more days, thats so exciting! Seeing Zootopia while at Disney is a fun idea!

In case you dont make it back on here- have an AMAZING TRIP!! I really can't wait to hear all about it :jumping1:

Glad you are at a better place with HM. I can't believe it is just a couple more days. You are going to have a great time.

I am so hoping you get to experience Mad T Party, since they are discontinuing it soon (after your trip).

I am not sure how expensive movies are where you live, but we saw Guardians of the Galaxy while at DTD and we were in sticker shock. Much more than our prices here in Oregon. Although, we were still thrilled to see the movie.

Glad you came to a good place with regards to the HM and glad you feel good about your husband having you back no matter what you decide

Sounds like you are getting things planned though always a few things to debate. We ate outside of Trader Sams, but not at the Tangaroa Terrace part, the TS's part and they had these great Pank-crusted Chinese Long Beans - so that could be a vegetarian option

Have a great trip!

Where exactly is the hat box ghost? I don't want to miss him! And my husband wants to know too so he doesn't miss him either. He asked me where he was the other night and I had no idea - we figured by the bride somewhere??

I'm really kind of leaning towards seeing Zootopia that last night. What a great way to wrap up our trip! Although, it could also be nice to see it on Saturday night since we'll be back home and already feeling those Disney blues!

I was really looking forward to checking out the Mad T Party and found out it was only on the weekends when we are there so I'm SO glad that I added in Sunday's park ticket! :thumbsup2

And seriously - I just checked the price for the IMAX and it would cost us a little over $40 for Zootopia! I'll talk to Mike about it but I'm definitely on the fence about it!

I definitely need to try those green beans at Trader Sam's. They are one of the things that are on my must haves this trip! I don't think it'll be filling enough though since we'll have been flying for almost five hours that day when we need food. I think I've decided on Award Weiners. It looks like they have a really creative and awesome vegetarian "hot dog" there! And it's right by the Mad T Party so it's basically written in the stars that that is what we should eat, right?? :goodvibes

Vegetarian Portobello-Mushroom Philly - grilled Portobello, onions & bell peppers sauteed in Karl Strauss Red Trolley Ale, topped with pepper jack cheese. All entrees served with choice of sliced apples or chips. $8.19

Thank you all!! I can't wait to report back to you about how everything went. This has been really fun AND helpful. :cool1:
