OT - I just know all of you that share in Alison's PTR and TR would be interested in this. I was just lurking on the Technical subforum and I noticed that someone had asked if the Dis could fix the censorship of a certain favourite Disney actor's name. Looks like they did....

We're not going to Florida this year.

Part of me thinks it's because I did a Pre Trip report and was so excited about the whole thing, that I was meant to be disappointed. Pretty much our dining and other experiences that we've prepaid for are wasted. They have a no refund policy

I feel so sick right now. Now our plans are all f***ed up. I wanted to go at Christmas next year, I guess now we'll be doing F&W since I won't be going this year.

She's feeling so guilty so I can't even be sad in front of her. I don't want to read any more dining reviews or other things because it makes me want to cry. I don't want to remove my ticker, but she's not going to get better. We'll be lucky if she is healed enough to go to my parents for Thanksgiving.

Well, I did the first thing...canceled my Owner's Locker delivery.

Because of the way that our Doctor does business we have a trail of the wound.

Here is the first picture that we sent the doc. I believe it was 2 weeks ago because on my camera card, it is right in the middle of all the meats that I had to cook.

This is her leg, Wednesday, the night before we saw the Doctor when the Doc called in the first antibiotic.

This is her leg about an hour ago, and amazingly enough it looks better than it did yesterday. The swelling has gone down, and the redness now covers a smaller area than it did yesterday.

Notice the progression of footwear. She could wear tennis shoes, then she could only get the slippers on and now she can't get shoes or pants on. She's wearing a pair of stretchy gym shorts.

Alison - Much as it pains you, you're doing the right thing by cancelling. There is no way Fran should be in an airplane with that leg. You already know that you definitely don't want to mess with poor circulation with her leg in that condition on a flight.

Yeah, so tomorrow will be a day of calling all sorts of places and finding out cancellation policies. The doctor emailed me a letter that says we can't travel. Canceling WDW vacations is nothing new to me. This is the third trip I've had to cancel.

The first was January 2009, we were going to take Arline to SSR and the AKL, but when Fran's father fell and broke his pelvis in November 2008 we knew we couldn't go. We had all our ADRs and everything.

We rescheduled that trip until May 2009, again I had it all together with ADRs and Fran just couldn't justify going with Arline (she hadn't had all her replacement surgeries yet). So we canceled that one too. It actually worked out for the best otherwise we never would have used our "leftover points" at GCH, and I wouldn't have realized how much I wanted to own there.

She placated me with going to BWV in September a week before her hip replacement and that was our first F&W. She didn't go on any rides, just read her book and ate F&W items.

I don't need her going into the hospital because the infection becomes even more serious. Now I have to find something to do with 214 points by mid June. I can only book things 60 days or less out. When I call to cancel the BCV & VWL I'm going to ask about Aulani in the first two weeks of December.

I think it's a great idea to use your points at Aulani and I bet you'll have a good chance of getting a reservation if you're a little flexible with dates. New units will be declared all the time as sales progress. You can always come visit us at Aulani in January.
