Our EPIC Vacation This time were bringing friends!
Hi, My name is Lynn and I am new at this!
Best I let you know that now so that when things go a bit pear shaped you will be understanding and hopefully a little sympathetic!
I am 38 years old and work part-time in the finance industry. I enjoy my job but am pleased to have the best of both worlds in that I get to pick my kids up from school and run them around to their various after school activities yet I still contribute to the family income and most importantly the holiday fund (or in American speak the vacation fund!)
We live a long long way away from Walt Disney World but dont worry we havent let that stop us.
As a child I was fortunate to be introduced to WDW and since then have made numerous trips. I am not going to reminisce on those as we would be here all day. Instead we will fast forward to when I met my DH (Dave)
we made a few more trips and were introduced to the benefits (in our eyes) of staying on-site.
Admittedly back then we used to stay at the values as we were hardcore we were in the parks at opening and didnt get back to our room until after park closing. We are older now (lol!)
and we have 3 kids

(youll meet them soon
.). We now appreciate the finer things in life (you know the things I mean sit down restaurants, lazy afternoons by the pool, a gentle stroll around World showcase
..) Holidays have evolved over the years. We have our own touring style and it fits our family. Our only regret is that we cant afford to do it every year but hey we need to eat right!
So, we first introduced our children to WDW in 2004 when our youngest was 2, our middle child was 3 and our eldest was 5. We stayed at the All Stars and had the most amazing family vacation (see Im getting the hang of this now). We couldnt wait to go back so we saved hard and booked again to go in 2006. We decided to book a moderate for this trip so we stayed at Port Orleans Riverside. This was our new favourite resort and we stayed there on our next two trips. By the time our youngest turned 7 she had crossed the Atlantic 5 times to see Mickey (Arent we lovely parents!)
Summer 2011 was our last trip we had booked POR again but I did a lot of overtime and we got a bonus from work so we decided to upgrade and we were fortunate enough to stay at the Beach Club. (Free TS dining!) WOW! We were in heaven this place was beautiful and we had the most amazing time. (We had pixie dust too they upgraded us on arrival to a water view it was simply stunning the view when we woke up each morning was incredible).
So that was that Vacations would never be the same again. We knew that when we returned the only place we wanted to stay was Disneys Beach Club. As my eldest (who is now 13) would say It was EPIC! So we are now planning our next EPIC VACATION!
Hope you have heard enough to stay tuned .
One further thing to mention before I do the formal introductions is that I have been a lurker for many years I read these boards daily but I have hardly ever posted. Am sorry about that but life can get pretty hectic in our household. Once you get to know us a bit more you will understand . I promise that I will try and post more and get involved. It was my husbands idea that I do one of these so if I dont get any followers I will just blame him
would love to hear from you
Coming next .. some pictures so that you know who we are. (I always like to put a face to a name hopefully you will too).
