PTR: A Wish My Heart Made...I Have An AP!! Update 9/28

:yay: Yay for Magicbands and nice friends who give you the Perfect accessories!

I will certainly keep my fingers crossed for you!

Clothes

I finally found green shorts at Old Navy today! So, here's the final outfit.

Good, right? I kinda love it. Oh, but it is supposed to be chilly :cold: that morning so I'm getting my lace sweater back from my sister, I think it'll work perfectly.

Hair & Make-up

Hair Option 1

If I did this one for real I'd do rollers the night before and some product in it because it kept separating down the middle. I'd also pin back my bangs except for a few curls. Here's the tutorial: http://s3-ec.buzzfed.com/static/2014-03/enhanced/webdr08/21/11/enhanced-29790-1395417533-15.jpg

Obviously, without accessories or make up. It's a bit more Cinderella than Tiana, but that might be because I placed it high. Hmmm...

Hair Option Two

This one came out great on the first try, but I would wrap hair around the hair tie before I started next time. Youtube hair tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3li_y-fcSY

With just the lily pad clip

With the flower and make-up.

Accessories:

Which hair do is better? 1 or 2?

Make-up good? Suggestions?

ONE WEEK!!!!!!!

In honor of my birthday month, here is some Disney Trivia courtesy of the awesome glass from my childhood that my Dad still has (took every bit of my will power not to just walk out with it in my purse! :lmao:)

Donald's middle name is my FAVORITE part of this glass.

:mickeyjum:donald:Fun stuff! :mickeyjum:donald:

Now I have SEVEN days to come up with a clever title for my TR... :hourglass

Oh No! We have a "Very Serious Problem"

And then with 7 DAYS until my birthday trip this happened:

A little bit of back story (very little). I'd had a busy weekend. I'm a mother of two & I was beyond exhausted so I SHOULD have been asleep. I was having some hardcore back spasms from overdoing it all weekend :sad1: So, I was :surfweb: to take my mind off of the pain.

I got a message from J. I knew a late FB message was probably bad news, but I had to check. She had just gotten a call from her mom because her Grandma was injured:crutches:& was having surgery Thursday so she has to spend the weekend out of town helping. She was apologetic & told me she felt like the worst person ever, etc.

This is one of those moments being a grown-up sucks.

I burst into tears , but I replied "I'm so sorry. I hope she's ok. Hugs!" I do sincerely hope she's ok, but the timing stinks!

Remember all the :drive:car drama when I picked up my AP? Well, J was our ride! Now what?

"Even Miracles Take a Little Time"

My DH was in the room urging me to stay calm, thank goodness. I messaged N. right away to tell her we were down one Disney buddy & a ride. I knew most people would have said "Maybe we should reschedule, etc", but not my cousin. She knew exactly how much being at WDW for my birthday meant to me :bday::cake:

I asked DH about taking our now only functioning car (His died that night in Orlando ) to WDW. I reminded him it was a weekend so even though I hated to leave him & the kids stranded at least nobody had school or work. DH said no because we hadn't driven my car a "significant distance" since it had come home from the shop (Yup, mine was broken too!) He was worried about a repeat of our last car misadventure esp because he wouldn't be there.

N & her husband live in a different city than I do. They had been getting ready to trade their :car: in for a new one so they didn't really want to put a bunch of miles on it. Now what?

N & her DH came up with idea of meeting 1/2 way. Phew, progress!

Now the both husbands were worried about meeting 1/2 way early in the morning. :sunny: The original plan was a Sat night sleepover & driving up early Sun morning, but now that was out. MK opens at 9am Sunday & we wanted to arrive btw 9-9:30am. Hmmm...

:fish:Just Keep Swimming:fish:

We decided to drive up Sat & stay somewhere cheap. N. asked if I would mind camping? She said we could get a tent site at Fort Wilderness or a hotel room in Kissimmee. No pressure, totally up to me, she says.

Um, I'm not a camping person. Getting up & down off the ground is rough for me, but N. told me we could rent cots. We'd be on WDW property & we could just take a boat over in the morning. Plus Sat night is EMH at MK too... Camping was looking more appealing by the minute.

And then I remembered Lia's (_disneygirl) TR from her own bday trip. The Chip & Dales s'mores party! OMG!! OMG!! (sorry to be a teenage girl for a minute, but seriously!) I had been looking at her pictures & thinking "someday..." & now...it was Someday!! :cloud9:

I asked N. if we could make S'mores with Chip & Dale and instead of saying um, this is your thirty-something-th birthday, right?!? She said "Of Course!!"

After MASSIVE amounts of pirate:kidprincess: logistics to work out getting me 1/2 way to N Saturday afternoon when the kids have 3 (Yup, THREE & I turned down a 4th!) birthday parties to go to we were all set. New Plan. pixiedust:

I'm headed to DISNEY :mickeyjumtomorrow afternoon! I'm all packed except for last minute stuff.

Unfortunately, I caught a mild cold  which is a bummer, but I'm tough.

Some great news: BLRS= Buzz Lightyear Ranger Spin! That was REALLY bugging me :rotfl2:

More great news Cinderella's golden carriage from the new movie arrived at HS this week! http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/bl...studios/?CMP=EMC-WDWFY14Q4WDWPHJANENEWCAL0011 Squeal! :faint:

Here's my final outfit selections:

Saturday:

My Disney dress with leggings if it gets to chilly (fingers crossed)

Sunday:

The top and Plan B sweater as the one I oringally mentioned disappeared

Shorts, shoes, accessories (minus my frog necklace which I'll get tomorrow before I leave)

And here's the link to the TR I just started: Adventure is out There! A Year of Disney

Next time I post here I'll be a year older :cake:

princess:Princess 1/2 Marathon Part 3: In which we examine how crazy I am

Ok, so on paper Bday overnight trip to WDW followed by a Disney Cruise the following weekend followed by going for another overnight at WDW to watch the Princess Half Marathon sounded TOTALLY FREAKING AWESOME :earsgirl:

But...

Um, I'm tired. Unpacking only to pack again stinks. It's gonna be freezing!

So, Dcuz N let me "off the hook" because in addition to the above mentioned stuff we have to leave WDW by noon on Friday now. Remember all our lovely fastpasses? Yup they start at 1pm. Ugh.

The logistics for this one really blindsided me because I got home from the Disney Cruise Monday morning and am leaving Thursday afternoon. I know, I know rough life (trust me this is NOT normal)! Where was I? Oh right, so once rides and kids, etc were sorted she dropped the bomb on me that we did not have until dinner time to play after the race

Now I was seriously considering how to get more time. No way to take out now only functioning vehicle for a day and a half on 2 weekdays, no way to get another ride home from Orlando....

I decided to make the best of the time I'd have. I'd meet up with N, check into All Star Movies and then head over to a park for a bit before bed. I consulted the crowd calenders...

Epcot was the clear winner & I feel most comfortable there on my own. Not that I have EVER been in a park on my own. Another first!

AND Then?!?

Little Miss decided now that we were back from our cruise it was a perfect time to get an ear infection

SIGH...

Doctor prescribed some antibiotics. She's on the mend & headed back to school tomorrow. The ear infection was when I seriously considered not going.

To re-cap the plan is now:

Drive up in the late morning to arrive in time for the expo, check in to ASMovies, N & C (aka the runners) go to the expo & then back to the hotel to "take it easy", I go to Epcot solo until bed-ish time & head back to the hotel, everyone sleeps

Everyone up at 4:30am to jump on the bus, N & C to starting line, I go to the finish line bleachers where I hang out in the cold for the duration, then we all get breakfast, say goodbye to C, N & I grab a few hours at a park before we rush home.

In the end...I am insane. ;)

But look at the adorable blinged out Magic Bands!

DH and my mom think I'm insane! :scared1:

::MickeyMoBut this is a conversation between N & I this evening:::MinnieMo

Me: My Mom & DH think I'm nuts.
N: Diagnosis: Disney Fever
Me: At least I'm in good company, right?
N: Yes! I was going to say, I am a Disney Addict so I think I am qualified to diagnose you. I know Disney Fever when I see it.
Me: Whatever. Judge away world, I'll be at Disney
N: Woot woot!!
Me: Even if I can't hack it tomorrow night It'll be like a slumber party hanging with you guys in the hotel. A DISNEY hotel.
N: Exactly
:)
Me: Even if the race is early in cold weather we'll have an awesome DISNEY breakfast afterwards.
N: Exactly
Me: Even an hour at the park is better than not going. Sounds perfectly logical to me.

I'm Back! Let's Plan Another Trip!

I'm back! I did my awesome birthday trip :cake: & my family took a 3day Disney cruise on the Dream! :sail:Both of those TRs are underway (links in my signature).

I also went last Thurs/Fri to cheer on some runners in the Frozen 5k. It was aptly named, 30degrees is super chilly for central FL. I was supposed to be back at Disney today for a day trip, but it got canceled & I'm kind of relieved! All these back to back opportunities look good on paper, but I'm tired.

What's next? Well, my pre-mother's day Disney weekend!

The Cast

Me & N are together again & trying to persuade a few other moms to join us

We're going May 1-3rd we are debating staying offsite depends on how many of us there end up being. Personally I'm totally fine with it being just the 2 of us offsite. It's cheaper, we wouldn't have to pay in advance & it's a lot less like someone will flake at the last second. N really wants to get 2 more people & stay at Coronado Springs. It's pretty & I'm sure we'd love it, but I'm cool with being outside the bubble.

BUT...

Speaking of paying in advance....We booked the Keys to the Kingdom tour at 8:30am! pixiedust: Pre-park opening behind the scenes tour AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! :faint: It's one of those Disney bucket list things we've both always wanted to do & our families wouldn't be interested in. Treat Yo Self! :teeth:

So far we've discussed MK or EP (or both because we can do that) Sat & AK on Sun.

I'll keep you guys posted.

So I just saw these updates.

Um, I'm tired. Unpacking only to pack again stinks

Yes, yes it does.

I decided to make the best of the time I'd have. I'd meet up with N, check into All Star Movies and then head over to a park for a bit before bed. I consulted the crowd calenders...

Sounds like a good plan.

Little Miss decided now that we were back from our cruise it was a perfect time to get an ear infection

Poor thing

To re-cap the plan is now:

Drive up in the late morning to arrive in time for the expo, check in to ASMovies, N & C (aka the runners) go to the expo & then back to the hotel to "take it easy", I go to Epcot solo until bed-ish time & head back to the hotel, everyone sleeps

THe Magic Bands are adorable!

What's next? Well, my pre-mother's day Disney weekend!

We're going May 1-3rd

We will miss you by 3 days.

Surprise! I'm going to :flower1:Flower & Garden:flower1: in 48hrs!

Real life got...unpleasant & DCuzInLaw said "Hey wanna come to Epcot for Flower & Garden this week?"

Not that anybody has to twist my arm. :rolleyes1

CAST

Me, DCuz & MM (3)

Me (Disneybounding as Gaston)

DCuz is super camera shy. I scoured FB for the picture of her & MM on the Buzz ride from MM's bday trip. That brat deleted it. Sigh. :sad2:

MM

The Plan

Drive up :car: early to get there by opening 9am. Drive back home by dinner time.

We have lunch reservations at Coral Reef :fish:

I got FPs for Nemo, Journey into Imagination :figment: & Soarin (MM is too short, but I figure Dcuz & I might do our own rider swap & take turns riding)

Super excited for the new stuff this year! Yay flowers! :rose:
