PTN/WoC question - The Cove?

Forgive me, I know nothing about Disneyland! But I'm going solo in mid-July and dining for my dates opened up this morning (my brain only works with WDW "rules" so I feel I have to book today!)

I grabbed a PTN dining package and a Hungry Bear Fantasmic On the Go package.

But..........I thought I read somewhere, on some forum, about a bar (Cove?) that you can go to (for a price maybe?) that would allow a good view of something (not sure what that something is).

If I didn't sound too confusing, can someone point me in the right direction?

The number one thing I have heard is to get a WOC dessert party. It is the only opportunity to sit while viewing WOC.

The Cove Bar (soon to be renamed Lamp Light Lounge) does offer a less than ideal view of World of Color. When WOC first debuted, they would charge a cover for viewing the show, but I’m not sure if they kept it up or not.
