Do you own, or plan to own/buy/receive as gift/buy for gift a Sony PlayStation Personal?? Seems like a LOT of movies they are selling for them...just wondering how popular they are going to be?? Not planning to get one...just curious as to how many have/will have......

I don't have one, nor do I want one, but a friend of mine has one and uses it all the time on the bus to football games.

My teen DS has a PSP. His opinion about the movies is that they are great when traveling but a bit too expensive to buy many.

My older two both asked for them for Christmas. The price kills me, but with the movie and mp3 as well as video game capabilities, I guess they will get alot of use out of them They sure aren't getting much else for Christmas though.

I bit the bullet and ordered them -- from somewhere online. I can't remember where - but I didn't have to pay sales tax or shipping. At $250 each, no sales tax is significant. I don't expect to see many sales on these this year.

I noticed today that Blockbuster is starting to rent movies and games for them.

I own one and am very UNimpressed with the games for it. The screen is beautiful. Movies look nice. And you can do lots of stuff with ot. But as aa game machine? Bah!

Don't plan on ever buying one. I'm much more of a Nintendo DS person, I could care less about the movies and it has a variety of games I enjoy playing.

My fiance got one right as they came out. He was all gung ho about it and now it just sits around and collects dust. They're nice and all, but personally, I'm still stuck on the original Gameboy. :)

yeah, I agree the games really aren't "there" yet. But my kids are teens and Nintendo really concentrates on games for the younger market. As sad as it makes me, they are really more interested in Grand Theft Auto than Animal Crossing.

My son has one.

He mainly uses it to watch movies when he's traveling.

DS's each got one for their birthday. They love them for movies and for games. There are some games that they stay away from. The workers in our local video game store and usually tells them which ones aren't good to play.
