PS - Operator Asked About Birthdays in Group??

I just made our final PS for our upcoming trip. This time for Wine Country Trattoria. The lovely operator, and she was the best so far, Jessica, asked if any of us were celebrating a birthday, which I said that it's DD's birthday trip. She asked for name and age, and said she would put down for the birthday cake. I didn't think about it much at the time, but then upon reflection, when I made the PS for Ariel's lunch they asked the same question (but did not mention the cake).

Am I missing something? Will they do something special for her?

My Dh told them for Goofy's Kitchen that it was our anniversary, and how many years. During our meal a CM and Chip came out with a cup cake (complete with chocolate mickey head on top) to wish us a happy anniversary. It was very sweet. So I'm assuming they do something similar for birthdays, maybe sing as well?

well for all the ps's i made they took down his bday info but at goofys were ordering the bday bucket with a small cake on top it cost's extra. but the free ones ive seen and that my son was given last year were small cute little cup cakes with sprinkals on it and they sang happy bday. so i bet at least one of the places would do that if you mintioned it

Thank you both - I'll let DH know, but might keep it as a surprise from DD. I'm sure DD will love anything that celebrates her birthday!

I LOVE Goofy's Kitchen, but their b-day cupcakes are NOT good. They are dark chocolate and they taste as though they have been sitting in a storage room for a month. I love cupcakes, but not the GK ones! Also, when I called to do a PS for Goofy's last year, they asked us if we were celebrating any special days. I told the guy that it was sort of a b-day celebration and he very enthusiastically typed it in the computer. When we arrived at Goofy's and went up to pay before being seated, the lady at the register loudly said, while reading the notes in the system, "Oh, you are celebrating THREE birthdays?" Well, I didn't actually want my friends to know that they had anything planned, but the lady spoiled the surprise. So then we got seated and ate our yummy food, and there were not many characters that day. It was kind of slow. We sat and sat, and nobody every brought over a b-day pin or cupcake or anything. Finally, we left. It was when we went back to Goofy's the next time a few months later and they saw my friend wearing a b-day button that they brought over the bad cupcake!
