PS at 9:40???

Could someone tell me, we have a PS at 9:40am for CRT (on Friday 12/21) and the parks open at 9:00 that day, First, what time should we leave ASMu, heading for MK, & 2nd, would we have time to ride anything b/4 our PS? How close are the rides to the castle? I'm most positive that the kids DD-8 & DS-4 will be up with the sun, (our 1st day at WDW), just wondering how early I will have to drag myself & DH out of the bed. Thanks Only 6 more days and we're on our way!!

ASMu is as far away from MK as you can get on Disney property. That being said, the bus service from there is great. Even so, I would plan to leave no later than 8:30-8:45 (which means leaving on the bus at that time, not standing waiting for the bus to pick you up!) Even after you arrive at MK, you will be delayed because they are now searching all bags as you approach the turnstyles. if the park is crowded that day, you may get delayed there. Once you've shown your tickets, and gone through the turnstyle, it's still a good 7-10 minute walk to the restaurant.

When I made the ps for Cindy's the CM told me to allow an hour from POR, she proceeded to tell me to allow an hour travel for everything and we'll never be late. LOL
