Proud Papa Moment - Wonderful news about both of my children

What terrific news for you and Sue, John. Those are some great kids, but what else would you expect!!! Tell Sarah..."Pick a little, talk a little, cheep, cheep, cheep!" We just did that show last year...so much fun. Love Eulalie's part...One Grecian urn, two Grecian urns.....
It was so great meeting you and enjoying WDW with all you kindred souls. So...hug those terrific kids! Smart, talented and they let dad go play at WDW with his buddies!!!

I just wanted to say that it was very nice meeting you on the bus last week.

This isn't my thread, but I was with him on the bus so I'll say hi :teeth:. It was nice meeting you, too :wave2:. I looked you up here on the DIS when I got back.

And it was also nice meeting your sons on another bus, luvmarypoppins ::yes::. Sorry we all missed out on meeting you :(.

And Goofy4tink it was fun meeting you. . .too many places to mention here :p.

Okay enough "hi"jacking from me. Back to praising the Towncrier family. . .

I got another phone call from James this afternoon. He received a letter from Youngstown State University letting him know that he was accepted into the BS/MD program there as well as at Kent State University.

We took him out for a steak last night to celebrate. When he called this afternoon, I told him in no uncertain terms "NO STEAK!!!"

I think he's sandbagging me. :rotfl:

Um, how many programs did he apply to? You may be eating a lot of steak!!!

Seriously, that is wonderful!! Tell him we look forward to a future colleague!

In order to increase his chances of getting into the BS/MD program (and on the advice of the NEOUCOM admissions office), he applied to all three undergraduate programs at Youngstown State, Kent State, and University of Akron. This meant three college application fees and three interviews with the respective colleges. I wonder if he'll get a letter from the University of Akron today.

The great news about getting invited to TWO of the programs is that there will be an opening for someone who did not make the first cut into the BS/MD program.

Hi John & Sue. WOW! I'm so happy about all your exciting news. Congratulations to everyone in the Hayes family!!
