Pros and Cons of OKW

Has anyone found a way to walk to the SSR's Artist Pallet from OKW? I heard rumor of a walking path but could not find it. Of course, we cannot walk on the golf course.

We aren't going for another year. Probably, mid January..we def will be visiting each park but since we are going to be there 8 nights we are spending a couple days hanging out at the resort..chatting...drinking 'ritas (good to know they have blenders )..you know "quality girls time" I just can't wait...

3 buildings have elevators.

That's true, but they are by request only, so you can't assume you will get one. And, IIRC, none of those three are in the Hospitality House zone, so if you book HH, you definitely won't be getting one.

I know this has been asked and answered probably 100 times on the DVC boards, but have all the rooms been refurbed? I've lost touch with the boards and have missed so much info!
Also, about how long is the pool slide? Would you consider it "exciting"? We stayed at OKW years ago, but didn't pay much attention to the slide.

The water slide is ok. Nothing too long.

We walked over from eating at the CS at SSR to OKW in the dark. It took a long time and I haven't a clue how we did it. DH says we walked by the treehouse villas and along water (we were on one side of the water and the TH villas were on the other). We did walk by golf course as well. It was a really long walk...DH even says that and he just walked from HS to Epcot (past the BWV), last week, with no problems.
