hehe. DH, who grew up in Berlin, tells me that many Americans picture a specific region of Germany when they think of Germany. but then again he also tells me that many Europeans only think of Texas or California when they think of America so he isn't at all offended by the phenomenon. 
Also he very well tolerates my love of and interest in Black Forest style theming even to the point of its connection to all things fairy tale. I'm hoping he and I will one day do a trip for him to show me Germany and stay in some of the castle hotels there. And that's on top of wanting to take a December trip some day to see all the German Christmas markets... well as many of them as we can stuff into one trip!
