Just wondering if somebody can tell me what is considered proof for the teacher/government rate for S/D. I work at a city college in New York. Some of my job requires teaching in the classroom, some of my job requires program development in one of the college offices. Would this count as a teacher or government job? I have found out from various sites that proof is required upon check in, but can't seem to locate a description of what constitutes proof. Can anybody help?

Hi MusicMom3,

I am a Teacher Assistant in NY. When I called the Swan to make my reservations, they told me to bring my Certification. I asked if I could bring a copy, because I don't want to lose my real certification paper, and the reservationist said that was okay [she said to make sure I had my license, also} Hope this helps! They have a great rate!

Your certification, a paystub, a letter of employment on school or work letterhead, a work ID are all acceptable, also as stated your licence :)

I am adjunct at a local college and all I had to show the last two times was a couple of current contracts (had college logo on it) and my college id -- I'm not even sure that I would have needed my college id.

What an awesome discount! Great location, beautiful hotel, HAVE FUN!
