Prolonged sitting problem

While I don't generally consider myself disabled I figured I'd ask if anyone has any suggestions on the best way to deal with problems of needing to sit. I've mitigated problems thru getting a treadmill desk accommodation at work and as soon as I'm done eating I leave the restaurants (good thing I put the TIW card in my wifes name) and walk around until the rest of the party is done. The problem is something like Fantasmic. Luckily my DD4 (at the time) was scared so we left but I was glad as we had already been sitting there so long waiting for the show to start that I was ready to get up and go. I ride everything (short of Space Mountain as I heard you can't see the upcoming directional change which my back couldn't tolerate) so I feel strange asking for an accommodation. Is there any reserved last minute seating area or something like that that isn't simply the worst seats? The bleacher seating just amplifies the problem but even seats with backs aren't great after 20 minutes. Thanks

Can you have someone save your set while you get up and walk around some. The show is 30 minutes long it is it an hour any ways you could sit next to the island and get up during the show. I would also sit near the back

also the dianasour ride at EPCOT ( Ellions) is 30 to 45 minutes long so skip that one too.
Caracel of progress is long too and they make you stay seated.

in fact I would skip most shows unless you can stand during the show.

Even the reserved F! Dining package seats require you to be there 30 min before show time. You could have a family member save a seat for you while you get up periodically for a walk. After all, people leave to go to the bathroom or concession stand all the time. Be considerate and try to sit on an aisle if you can.

But as gap noted, the show lasts 30 minutes, so you might want to skip it entirely. The only alternative I can think of is to ask a CM if you can stay in the SRO area, while your family seats themselves, then meet up outside the theatre.

And as gap also noted, you might want to check attraction duration times for other long ones, like Ellen's Energy Adventure (45 min,), FOTLK (30 min), Nemo musical (40 min), American Adventure (30 min), GMR (25 min), BATB, Indiana Jones Stunt Show, Disney Junior Live (all about 30 min). COP is only 20 min.

For Fantasmic if you are willing to be in the back, you can stand on the landing there, as long as, you don't block someone else's view. There is an area for stand up only that is used when it's very crowded at the show.

Usually, if you are seated in the back for a show you can stand without bothering anyone else. We have sat in the back many times; because, we have someone in a wheelchair. We enjoy the show just, as well.

I think there's plenty to do without trying to see everything; so, if you have to skip some attractions just find something else to do.

You can let your group sit wherever at those attractions that cause you problem. You can be where it's best for you. Just have a plan to meet wherever afterwards.
