~Project Runway Season Season 8 Thread Spoilers Welcome~

It seems like they're showing more of the designers in the green room during the judging process, and I really like that. It was funny seeing Jason try to blame his model for his safety pin dress and have people call him out on it.

I felt bad for Nicholas, but the judges didn't like his dress last week either, so they must have decided they didn't want to see anything else from him. I really loved the front of his shirt, and that was it.

I loved Gretchen's outfit and thought she did a better job with her photo than the people who took the picture for Times Square. It was a toss up for me between the top 3 - I thought they were all so good in different ways, it was hard to decide who was the best.

I'll have to see about Casanova. Maybe landing in the bottom last week really shook him designer confidence and that was why he kept second guessing himself and taking other's advice. Peach also seems to be getting extra help from Tim Gunn.

Besides the obvious, I don't think Ivy or Kristin will be making it long - they have completely unimpressed me both times. Kristin's stuff looks like she's trying too hard to be edgy and it just turns out sloppy. Ivy's designs seem kind of safe and boring.

Oh poor Nicholas. I like him (though not his designs). Jason, I could care less about. His attitude seemed lousy (how about leaving before Tim said goodbye??). I WAS shocked they cut two! Wow. Everybody on their toes.

As for the winner...two weeks in a row and I HATED both of Gretchen's outfits. I loved Michaele's outfit last week. I guess I just don't "get it", but I still like the show.

Which Michael?

There is Michael Costello from CA and Michael Drummond from St. Louis?

missing "models" too. Didn't realize they weren't going to switch models, thought they were just waiting a week or two. Still that explains the indifferent look on Jason's model. She had to know he was going home and she had no chance.
Watched the first santino show, or tried to...won't be watching again.

I agree that the jumpsuit was horrible but probably did photograph better for a billboard than any of the other designs.

As for the jumpsuit, I think that anyone young and skinny enough to look okay in it wouldn't want to wear a jumpsuit.
The photos that the designers had taken only seemed to matter for the judging because they had a super-model pose for Times Square. That should have gone to the designer's model even if the photos had to be retaken.

Here is the list of models but I dont know who is with who

I agree - I thought it was kind of crappy that the winning model didn't get to pose. That should have been part of the prize.

I thought the second Santino and Austin show was MUCH better than the first one. Maybe it had to do with the woman they were making over. The Captain last night was much bubblier and seemed far more into it than the ranch girl last week.

DBF and I caught up with PR on demand last night and realized that we had seen the billboard! We live very close to NYC and were in Times Square to see a musical-- we commented on how odd we thought the model's poses were...and then I started talking about how much I hated jumpsuits. Too funny.
I do really like Gretchen. I would have liked Valerie's more, but I HATE exposed zippers.
Thank God Jason is gone-- I have been losing faith in the judges for the last couple of seasons, but the fact that last week they sent someone home who at least SEWED a dress over someone who turned a kimono backwards and stapled it was RIDICULOUS.

I loved it when Jason said about the safety pins, something to the effect of "Well, the judges will just have to look past it." Uh . . . no they don't. Maybe you'll just have to finish your garment? (Of course, he doesn't have to anymore!

Tim even said something to him about finishing it and the fact every imperfection will show up.

He was so clueless it was bizarre. :confused3 Heck Mondo is bizarre and turned out a cute design.

Even though Peach's dress was awful, she knew she had to at least sew it right.

I cant see Peach making it much further-just the fact that she brought
white and blue Toile printed pants to wear in NYC shows she is clueless

:rotfl2:

I'm still watching tonights episode, but I'm already cringing at Casanova cutting up the stuffed animals?? I really liked Gretchen before, but tonight, she's driving me  tonight!

I was really excited when they brought out some models for elimination, and thought, "OOOOH, some Models of the Runway!" But that was almost a total waste....

I thought all of them extremely innovative!:thumbsup2

Even PEACH had a cool dress;)

I'm glad Andy South won-i really like him:)

I think the Top 3 this week will go all the way to The Finale-they seem to be the strongest designers.
