What did you take a picture of today?? :goodvibes

I'm taking a picture of another obsession. Not sure what it will be....

Got mine! Both my parents were feeling well (they are 83 & 88) so we went on a "field trip" to Target and a drive around. My Dad doesn't get out too much so when he does I like to keep him out for a while. I took a picture of the two of them in the car with Dad holding up the cable remote we went to exchange. For the journaling I will write about all the things we were able to do and how the day went well. A good day. :)

Yes Nancy, it was! I am very fortunate to have them both still with us. In just the last couple of months they were both in the hospital - my Mom for emergency ulcer surgery which had her in the hospital and then in re-hab most of last November - and then my Dad most recently in for pneumonia in January. Dad doesn't drive anymore so I try to take them out as much as I can. Their world is very small when they are just in their place, ya know?

For another one of my pictures I have just their hands together. I am trying to get many of their pictures in the book - I need to have someone take a picture of ME with them! :)

Take care...

Well, it was going to be track practice, but I think that will be canceled. I'll need to put my thinking cap on.

AWE Jill, If I lived closer I'd take a photo.. does your camera have a timer on it??? If so, set that and get in that photo too!!!!
The photo of their hands together has to be amazing!!
I know I have very few photos of me w/ my parents or my siblings... that is why I've always got the camera trying to capture the moments for DH and myself, DH and the kids, me and the kids, and the kids w/ each other!!! My kids are really good about it and take great photos...but my Dstepsons...well, that is another story... you can tell they don't understand the importance.. :(

That is really sweet and a fantastic photo!

My grandparents are 96 and 88, still doing relatively well for their age. Grandpa is in a nursing home now (and Grandma is also there temporarly after a fall she suffered on Sunday) but they are still so amazingly sweet with each other. One day when Grandma came to visit Grandpa, he looked up at her with a big grin and said, "You look more beautiful every day!" And yesterday they were sitting together in their matching wheelchairs, holding hands. So sweet!

I miss my Grandparents.

Great! Photos to go with swap pieces.

I took a photo of DS3 in a frog costume. His name is Sherman the frog and in case you didn't know this, frogs like to eat chocolate pudding for snack.

DH & DS had "male bonding" night since I had to stay late for 8th Grade Orientation. DH took a pic of DS in his barnyard bouncer! :thumbsup2

Susan, can i just tell you how much i loved this story! what's greater than Sherman the frog eating chocolate pudding!?! enjoy those moments.

mine was cars in the driveway. dh had a flat so he took my car, and i took ma's car, and that left her stranded here for the day. i really wanted to take one of dh and his 2 good friends at the wake last night, but i thought i'd look nutty if i whipped out my camera and started taking pics. they were outside taking a break & having a nice converstation and i did sneak out my cell and took a pic with that, it's just not as nice as my camera would have been.
