Is there the option to have a photographer take pics and you to purchase them after now? I read in another post about a photographer but not sure if I've misunderstood. In wdw you can view and choose professional photos. Is this the same thing? Would be fab if so as I'm the one that's never in the photos because I'm the one taking them lol, would be good to get some photos with us all in.

If I'm right, is this available for all meet and greets or only a select few?

Yes and no. They have them, but it doesn't work as in WDW.

The photopass people are only with characters, and even there at the set meet and greets only (Pavillion, Meet Mickey, Hotel meets for example). Sometimes they are not even there. You won't find any photographers taking your picture at the castle or the statue in the Studios or something like that.

Also while you can view your pictures you can't buy them on CD. It's print outs in various sizes only.

I have just returned from the parks and we used photopass with mixed results.

The permanent meets such as Buzz Lightyear at Toon Studios, Meet Mickey Mouse and Princess Pavilion will always have a photopass photographer there. The other meets sometimes had photopass photographers there but most of the time they didnt.

We used photopass to save our photos together and buy them all at the end to save money. However, we had someone elses meet Mickey photos as well as our own and one of the cards we had used for ride photos didnt work at all so we lost those photos. So of the three cards we had, one of the cards didnt work. Luckily it was the one with the worst photos! We were told by several staff that they are changing systems at the moment so they are having a couple of problems; staff were receiving training whilst serving us.

Photopass is handy but i wouldnt solely rely on it any photos you get make sure to ask a CM to take a photo with your camera as well which they are always happy to do.

The positive with photopass at DLP is there is no upfront cost unlike WDW; you can view your photos at a wide variety of places on site and if you dont want to buy them you dont have to. So, definitely use it but dont rely on it.

I will still use photopass next time despite the issues because it saved so much money, after you buy 5 photos the photos are only three euros each so you can save a lot of money if buying a lot of photos.

Like the user above we saved all our cards until the end of the holiday and found that due to their new systems, half our photos had been lost - luckily we were able to purchase the couple of photos we really wanted. Its €15 for one photo or €20 for two. They also charge €3 for a cardboard frame!

Although, at the character meets we usually asked a CM to take a photo on our iPhone and they were happy to oblige! Works out a lot cheaper.

I dont think this is just a new issue as some pictures were lost from one of my two pass cards. The CM at the shop in our hotel said ride photos expire that day! Conflicting knowledge & info. We seemed to have lost a couple of pics from the card that did work too.
