Products you can't find anymore

I mostly miss the Chicken Tonight sauces....really loved those, and also, McCormick used to make a swiss steak seasoning mix/baking bag - - made the best swiss steak in the microwave.

Still upset over Gucci No. 3 perfume not being made any more too:sad2:.

In my area, I am having problems finding apple soda. Used to be able to find Goya brand, but then, local stores quit carrying the apple flavor. I have been able to find Jones's Green Apple soda, which is good, but really would love to be able to find the Goya brand.

I find a lot of older label hair care products at Big Lots - - Rememeber Salon Selectives?? A ton of those at our local Big Lots.

....Bluette. I'm so annoyed that they don't make this anymore.... :badpc:

Have you tried this? http://www.mrsstewart.com/

It's what I always use. Works really good. Seems to be the same thing.

Philadelphia Cheesecake flavored cream cheese, used to come in the re-closable container. Loved it on bagels. :thumbsup2

.

Bagel?? Please... how about a box of Teddy Grahams, a tub of that cream cheese and a chick-flick?

I used to buy Revlon Flex Shampoo & Conditioner. My hair smelled sooo good.

.

Of all the things mentioned, this is one I do NOT miss. It was my pregnancy vomit trigger smell.

Took me forever to rmemeber this product. Years ago there was a cereal that was a cookie, (Cookie Crisp) they had chocolate chip and a vanilla cookie, I always got the vanilla cookie one.

We still have this, and even Aldi's has a generic one. I do remember the Vanilla flavor. That one has been gone awhile.

Baking M&Ms. Why did they stop making these??

Bluette! My MIL always used that. Lavender Sachet fabric softener was another thing she used that I don't see anymore.

The Pop Shoppe pop.

(I know they sell it in Canada somewhere, but they don't down here in Florida.)

I loved going to the mom-n-pop store with my dad and getting a bottle. Or a case to take home, if he was feeling generous.

Another one I just thought of...

Remember those mini frozen egg rolls back in the 70s? La Choy made them (I think). Loved those suckers.

I miss OB ultra tampons. Like, really. They disappeared from the shelves last fall and I'm down to my last three. People were selling boxes of them on ebay for $50/box (and they were selling, too!)

As an aside, I found Orangina (in the small, lightbulb-shaped bottles) at a local "scratch and dent" market and bought several cases! Loved that stuff...hard to find now and not quite the same with HFCS instead of sugar, but still yumms.

They're gone??? I thought every store (for, I guess it's been several months now....) just didn't have them.

Those were THE BEST Ultra's, ever. Jerks.

I wish they would bring back Pantene Clarifying shampoo. I hate that they discontinued it! I can't find a better clarifying shampoo.
Uggh. I was in the WalMart shampoo aisle the other day for what seemed like hours looking for a clarifying shampoo. I remember Aussie used to make a good one. I found just one but it was in the next aisle over with the hand cream. :headache: :confused3 (I'll post the name and let you know if it's any good once DD tries it.)

Anyway, one thing I did see that was a blast from the past and reminded me of this thread was a dry shampoo product called (ready for this?)

Psssssst (Anyone remember that jingle? :music: Pee ess ess ess es s s tee!) :rotfl2:

I also found Certs original flavor in Family Dollar today. Was anyone here looking for those? It was the first time my kids ever tried them. Tasted like they always did. :thumbsup2

No Baskin Robbins around here :sad1: I remember having it where we used to live, before we moved here about 6 years ago. I went there on occasion and liked it a lot!

I might just have to attempt to make my own by mixing some small bubble gum chunks into ice cream...

we don't have baskin robbins anymore either :( my brother and i used to LOVE the bubble gum ice cream. we'd each get two scoops and save the pieces of bubble gum in a napkin to chew after the ice cream was gone, lol.

My apartment size electric stove here at the lake isn't self-cleaning - nor does it have the type of oven door that comes off for cleaning - so it's a real challenge trying to reach/crawl in there so I don't miss any spots.. A number of years ago Easy Off Oven Cleaner used to sell their cleaner in a sponge - rather than the spray - and it was soooooooo easy to use!! (Actually worked better than the spray and had no fumes at all..) I've looked all over the place and can't seem to find it.. :(

Now although I can find this item - "Dream Whip" (in a box - 2 envelopes per box) - it's becoming very hard to come by.. The only place I can count on carrying it is the outrageously priced little grocery story in the next town over.. I have quite a few recipes that call specifically for Dream Whip - no substitutes - and they're soooo good! It also makes one of the best cake frostings ever!! :thumbsup2

Right about now I REALLY miss "Cope". I don't know how many others might remember it, but it was an OTC pill for headaches, kind of like Excedrin or Motrin. I'm kicking myself that I never checked to see what was in it. It specifically targetted tension headaches.
The other thing I miss is Turpenhydrate, a cough syrup. My parents said that when I was little it had codeine, but I loved it as an adult, no codeine. It tasted awful, made my eyes water, but boy, did it do the job! Not like that wimpy cherry r grape stuff nowadays. This stuff made your eyes water!

Doo dads.... I used to eat them with my brothers during the holiday season. We loved them and would "fight" over them. Ahh great memories!

Haven't seen them in years. :sad2:

I can't stand it by itself, but I do have a recipe that calls for it and I get it on amazon.

I wasn't feeling good earlier this week and I thought of you guys when my mom brought home Mrs. Grass Soup. It was so good.

Stella d'Oro cookies,,,the Lady Stella assortment. Haven't seen it anywhere in a few years.

:worship: EVERY time I go to the supermarket (including a few hours ago), I look for them -- even though I haven't seen them in a few years, either. Unfortunately, they don't even have them listed on their website. And searches on Amazon just show places that don't have them anymore. I can't understand why they stopped making them. They were soooo perfect with tea, and especially around Christmas!

My other one is Cookies & Cream TWIX!!!!! I've just discovered (thanks to Wikipedia) that they only made these in 1990. They were absolutely decadent and delicious and I probably ate a million of them (I was working at the candy stand in my school at the time). I would LOVE to have those back on the market!
