Problems with Dining Reservations

I’m sure this has been discussed; however, I had a minor problem with my dining reservations this morning.

Let me give you a little back ground on our stay. We are going to WDW September 16 thru 26. We are arriving the 16th at 7pm and are staying the first night at SSR, I have developer points I need to use. We are then moving to BLT from the 17th thru the 22nd and then we go to AKV 22nd thru the 26th.

This is the problem I ran into this morning. I called at 90 days and wanted to make all my reservations and the CM was having problems with the computer. It was telling her that I was calling to early; I needed to call back the 20th. I explained about the DP reservation (SSR) on the 16th and she was then able to get me reservations for the 16th thru the 18th, however, no further out. The computer doesn’t recognize split stays as one continuous stay on property. I’ll need to call during each time so I have 3 different windows for calling. This won’t be a problem but I wish they could recognize that we are staying a continuous 10 nights so we could use the 90+10 benefit.

Like I said this is a minor problem and the CM that was helping was trying the best she could to help. This is more of a heads up if you have split stays at resorts. I usually go and stay at 1 location but the grandkids wanted to try both.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Not a problem for those who usually stay at different resorts during their vacations. The CM was right, you have a different ressie number for each resort so you will probablly need to provide the separate number when booking the adr's. We use the Dxddp and pay up at each resort for the number of nights we are staying at that resort and using the ddp.

Hope this makes sense. You would never have run into this twist if you only stayed at one resort for you vacation as you have in the past.

We just switched room sizes in the middle of our stay and it is still considered seperate. We had to call back when the second one started and book for the remainder of the trip 3 days later than I thought we should have.

We had to change our reservations a few months ago and unfortunately, it ended up with 3 link reservations and we are staying in the same resort in the same room. When I called Disney Dining, they had such a hard time with this and it wasn't even a split stay:confused3. I was finally able to get all my ADRs which involved 3 CMs and 2 supervisors. :sad2: It was definitely not something I want to deal with next time. Hopefully, they can sort out DVC reservations with link reservations.

We might get an additional dining priority out of this yet if Disney can't find a way to fix this. I'm making my ADRs next week so I'm just preparing myself to call Disney Dining at 7:00 a.m. unless by some miracle this all gets straightened out by then (not looking very likely). :sad2:
