My oldest DD's (7) right earring hole has riped. The hole is now at the bottom of her earlob and the top part of the hole has closed. I was hoping by wearing very light earrings it would heal back to proper position. :guilty:

Anyone have helpful info?

How long min. do I need to let it close before it can be repierced? Should I take the other earring out to close (so it looks good) also or keep it in? :confused3 She really wants her earrings in and is not looking forward to taking them out and getting repierced. She likes jewerly more than me. princess:

TIA

If she gets it repierced, it will be painful because of scar tissue. I've had my ears repierced twice. After I had another infection, my doctor recommended that I let the holes close forever, and that is what I ended up doing. I'd wait a while to get the hole repierced to allow for at least some healing. Keep the site clean so she doesn't get an infection. If she shows signs of an infection, take her to the pediatrician.

I hope that her ear heals soon.

If it is ripped I would definitely remove the earring and let it heal for a very long time. 6months or more. Taking the other earring out just sort of seems like what ever she is comfortable with.
