I booked an ard for flying fish for 9th july -my email confirmation makes no mention of wine tasting as does the more info part on the disney my reservations site. However, the summary part under my reservations states that I have booked the wine tasting :scared1:- at $149 dollars a pop for 4 of us of which only 2 are old enough to even taste the wine - It would have to be champers or barollo all night :rotfl:. Is this a normal glitch for flying fish bookings. There is no way we are doing the wine tasting - were are on the dining plan $600 is more than ammount we would spend on alcohol for the whole 2 weeks vactions. If I cancel now will I still get the $10 pp charge.

Yup, it's a bug on the Summary page of the website.

--Nerdy Explanation (Educated Guess)--
From what I am assuming, the Disney Dining summary page calls up the meal name via RestaurantID. Unfortunately, they did not limit the results to a specific meal, and as such, each meal gets loaded into the variable one after the other (due to the way that the database results read into the variable). Since the variable can only hold a single value, the last one in "wins". As such, if they add a new special meal to a restaurant, all ADRs for said restaurant will show this special meal on the Summary page.
--End Nerdy Stuff--

Clicking "View Details" will show the correct ADR. This has been a bug for well over a year and is also seen on several other restaurants with special meals.

Same thing happened to me. I even cancelled it and rebooked it, figuring i'd made a mistake the 1st time...same thing happened the 2nd time.

If you didn't pay in full when you booked, you don't have the Chefs Counter.

If I cancel now will I still get the $10 pp charge.

The only way you are supposed to get a $10 per person charge is if you do a same day cancellation (you cancel on July 9)

Is Chefs Counter the wine tasting event

I dont want to cancel, I just want to make sure that its not the $149 wine tasting event- my husband would choke on his food it it cost $600 when he was expecting it to be free (ish) :rotfl2:

As the others have said, you're fine. No need to cancel. If it will make you feel better, call Disney Dining directly (I Love alliteration!). I did, and they confirmed that we had the "regular" dining experience booked. No worries!!
