Problem Paying Online

I booked a trip for DD and myself at ASM for the end of October through Disney's website. I payed the deposit when I booked with my credit card. Last week I sent a check for the remainder of the cost using the reservation number. I got a call from a CM tonight telling me that I can't pay for the remainder until I check in. They had already cashed my check, so they are sending me a check for that amount.

After I got off the phone, I went back to their website. I thought I remembered where you put in your reservation number and you could select a button that said "Make a Payment". Sure enough, there it was, but it wouldn't let me go any further. It gave me a message saying that I should pay when I check in.

Doesn't this seem odd? My guess is that the reservations from the website are on another system that they can't get to from CRO and the website software isn't working properly to allow payments.

Darn, I really like having everything paid before I get there!
 
That does sound odd. Bumping this up to see if anyone can shed some light for you. ~:D~
