Problem linking tickets in MDE

I'm taking my SIL, her husband, their daughter and her husband to OKW soon, and I'm trying to make a FastPass for all 5 of us. SIL's husband and my niece have purchased park hopper passes for themselves and their spouses, and have linked all of those tickets with their rooms, which are linked to my room. They have been able to make reservations with the linked tickets, so their sides of MDE think they're linked.

However, when I try to do a FP for all of us, my side of MDE says that SIL's and niece's hubby's tickets aren't linked, and won't include them in the FP.

Do I need to link their tickets on my side of MDE also? I don't want to screw anything up . I don't recall needing to do that with the two that are linked; they linked themselves when SIL's hubby and my niece added them to their rooms.

Thanks for un-confusing me!

Even if they accepted the friend request they have to have their permissions set to allow others to make FP's I believe.

And if they've made FP's have they used up all their days?

Tickets are linked to people - not rooms. They only have to be done once - there's nothing for you to link that way on your side.

I got my SIL's ticket number and tried linking it, but it said that it is already linked to another account. Kat, I'm sure they've only made one FP so far, so they should have plenty left. Where do they check to see if others can make FPs?

They first go under the My Friends and Family List link under My Disney Experience in their MDE account. Then they scroll down to you and edit the preferences.

I'm not certain if that's going to be the problem but double checking the preferences is probably a starting place. You also might post this question over on the theme parks board here: http://www.disboards.com/forums/everything-fastpass.197/

And it might end up requiring a call if something has gotten wonky.

We had a similar problem this fall. Call member services and they fixed it quickly. I would agree with those saying call. MDE couldn't figure out why it wasn't working, but somehow got everything working and that's all I cared about.

I agree with the above, you'll likely need to call. Another issue could be the passes themselves. You said they'd made other reservations using the passes, have they made any fast passes with them? The passes must be good for the dates in question and they must have enough days to cover ALL days of the fast passes. Say they have 5 day passes and you have 7 day passes, you could only make 5 days worth of FP for them total for that ticket and 3 per day. Also, I agree with them going on to their sign on and making sure that the permissions are set so you can see all their plans. YOU can't link the tickets once they've been linked elsewhere. THEY could potentially reassign them to someone else on their friends list if the tickets haven't been used.
