Probably a goofy (not the character) questions, but, doggie bags?

I keep reading about all the FOOD they give you at the TS restaurants, but will they send you off with a doggie bag, if you'd like (excluding the buffets... I know they won't)? Both DD and I are long-term eaters :teeth: so we tend to eat at a restaurant and then give it a couple of hours rest, and then dig back into the leftovers! Are they going to make us eat it all up at once??

I realize I'm going during free dining, but it's not like anyone else is going to eat what's left on my plate!!

Thanks!

We took lots of food back to our room. Mostly doggie bags from dinners or unopened applesauce from the kids meals at counter service. We would always split desserts and take the extras with us, so we had extra cookies and rice crispie treats, too. We had a full sized refridgerator in our cabin at Fort Wilderness and it was well used with the 6 of us on free dining. We even took home the applesauce and desserts we never got to open on the trip. It was fun for the kids to eat Mickey stuff once we got home.

Depending on the time of year you go, you must consider the two hour rule about food left unrefrigerated.

Our family usually dines early for dinner and then stays at the park we are in. We do not head directly back to our hotel. For us, only extras like cookies and such were taken to go.

When we used the dining plan last May we took several desserts to-go for a late night snack. Obviously nothing like Ice cream that would melt but I enjoyed my cheesecake while watching Spectro Magic.

I took my dinner back from spoodles and put it in the fridge and ate it later on, ask for a fridge that way you wont be on a time limit. Enjoy :cool1:

Doggie bags are perfectly acceptable (except at buffets of course!) but as the others have pointed out, unless you are going right back to your resort to stash them in a fridge, be very careful.

Nothing could ruin a trip faster than food poisoning.
