We are planning to buy the photopass for our week at Aulani but wanted to do some more formal family shots as well. Has anyone booked the photopass photographer for the 20 min. session for $100? Do you book it ahead of time or when you arrive?

We have a 1 year old with us so he may take longer to get a smile or to sit still. We didn’t want to have to rush through as others might be waiting in line for photos.

Thanks for any feedback!

The private session doesn’t have a line, and should be booked in advance, the photographers aren’t the same ones that do the photopass pics, and are likely to be far better. If no one else booked a session for the day (i.e. they didn’t call in one of their photographers) there might not be any availability.

They might also only be available on the weekends, not to sure about that part tho.

When I was looking at the photography listings there was one that said, “reserve time with a Disney photopass photographer (20 mins.).” It is listed separately from private photography sessions. I wasn’t sure the difference other than the amount of time and cost. But since it was cheaper, I knew there must be something...
