Hey guys -

So I will be making my first ever trip to DL from Oct 24-28 - thanks to some help from the kind folks here I realize now all the entertainment options available to me. Due to MHP and my late afternoon departure on the 28th I only have two nights to enjoy DL nighttime entertainment and only one of those nights Fantasmic! is shown (the 24th).

Question for the group is as follows: Do I goto Fantamic! on the 24th and risk the fireworks and PTN being rain/winded out on the other evening? For background i would personally prioritize seeing Fireworks and PTN over Fantastic! - I have seen the one at WDW multiple times and have not left overly impressed. That said I understand this show is far and away better than wdw.. so? thoughts?:)

You don't have to miss out on the fireworks if you choose to see Fantasmic. You can view them from the Rivers of America right after Fantasmic. Then, you can view the PTN parade on your other evening. As far as our Fantasmic being better - you betcha! I won't even go to the WDW version anymore as I am always disappointed. Now with the Fantasmic dinner packages it is easier than ever to get a great view!

If fireworks are a priority, i wouldn't recommend watching them from RoA. This is a tough call. I would take a look at the weather the day before. F! is running twice on the night you can go to it. I would get a FP for the second show. Unfortunately DL turned F! into an upcharge event. Sure, you can get a FP, but in my experience, even with lining up early, the view you get with an FP isnt even worth it. When they first started the FPs, I had a decent view once. I dont think they are consistent with where they group each section. To me, F! isnt worth watching unless you have a center view. But thats just me. I pretty much gave up on trying to watch F! at Disneyland. As far as PTN and DL Forever.. I would catch them the first night from Main St then head to the second F! show. If you like them both you can catch them again the second night.
