well i am in the very, very early planning stages of a october 2010 trip to the world. this all started with me convincing a coworker to take her daughter to WDW to celebrate her 4th birthday, just as i had done with my daughter last feb. I got to thinking about how much i wanted to return and how cool MNSSHP looked. then i realized that my daughters request for a beach vacation and love of all animals could be combined into a totally awesome, all be it difficult to plan, vacation for us. But first some background...

i am a single mother to one princess obsessed 4.5 year old. i planned a mother daughter trip for her fourth birthday last feb. although my family and friends thought i was crazy to do WDW all alone, it was amazing. we had a blast and it was a perfect vacation. we stayed at POP for 5 nights, spend 1 day at each park and 2 days at MK. we did the castle meal, BBB, and lived on disney transport. super easy and totally easy to make reservations and such.

so as of now i am doing research and pricing options for the following trip...

arrive at MCO from Ohio sometime in october
3 night cruise (right now pretty set on DCL but pricing out and researching other options, and opinions would be welcome)
after the cruise i plan on renting a car and doing a late lunch at 1900 park fare and then checking into a hotel near sea world
two days at sea world
day at DTD complete with a stop at BBB (my daughter has already decided she wants to be tink with funky hair and i can be Wendy) then head over to MK for the halloween party
check out the next day and head to MCO and fly home

i am super excited and really ready to start booking but i dont know the party dates for 2010 and will need to book the cruise before then so i am a bit perplexed :confused3

so anyways, there is the first installment of my trip report. stay tuned for more changes, crises, and challenges as i try my hand at becoming my own travel agent... since i quickly discovered it is going to be much cheaper to plan each component on its own rather than trying to find someone to do it all for me.

until next time, jen
