Princesses coming to Chicago, Saturday, the 31st--a mini meet maybe? (some pics pg 2)

Dan ~ I work at Toys R Us which is in the mall drive.

There is a Gino's in Orland!!!!!! It is on 159th and Harlem and the mall is at 151st and La Grange, not really that far (I can tell you the shortcuts!!)

Based on what Kirsten said, what is the chance that the line would be so long we won't see them? Should we be going to visit them first at noon, then eating afterwards???

Or would eating first then getting there at 2 give time for the initial crowds to die down???

Well, let's see if I can keep my day straight in my head.

Megan's Mom called me back, she is unable to go to the Orland Park deal, as she has to be back with her hubby for some other things they are doing in the afternoon. We are going to have lunch at Gino's, Rolling Meadows, early, about 11:30. I'll head down to Orland Mall Park about 1:30 at the latest. Meet up with whoever is able to be there.

Food court? TDS?? If anybody wants my cell #, send me a PM.

Hope everybody got there and had a good time! I ended up in the ER last night and was admitted for more tests. I am OK, need to follow up on some of the results, but no sugery, at least not today!

Back home now for a few hours. So sorry, Kirsten, to hear about your spell at the hospital. Hope you are doing better tonight.

Lunch at Gino's up north with Megan's Mom, traveling on vacation from Alabama, and then headed south to Orland Park. Jeff was there with family, from Wisconsin, Gael, Brit and Abby, the girls with their princess outfits. I did take some pictures, not a whole lot, but some great ones of Belle, who knows us well here on the DIS. She is beautiful, a real princess. And a few of Cinderella. Both visiting Chicago direct from WDW.

Dinner at Ruby Tuesdays and home. A nice day with some folks from the DIS, a small world it truly is.

DAN-- You are THE BEST!!!!! So glad you were able to see the Princesses today!! A 'little bird' told me that Belle was delighted to see you and thrilled about the pictures you took of her! THANK YOU sooooo much!!! So wish I could have been in Orland Park too but knowing you--and all the other DISers-- were there made me much happier!

Of course, we took a few pictures, mostly of Cinderella because that's our favorite and who the girls were dressed as. I know that Dan got MUCH better pictures of Belle. They were alternating Princesses 'on stage' and we happened to get Cinderella.

Both girls missed their afternoon rest time (we waited over 2 HOURS to see the Princesses) and afterwards we had dinner with Dan at Ruby Tuesdays. The girls were tired and it showed - both were not being well behaved. But of course , 60 seconds out of the parking lot of the Mall and:

It was a good day. I'm glad we got to see the Princesses - wish it could have been both, but were happy being able to see Cinderella; and Belle from afar. Mary Jo, you can tell your 'little bird' that our little girls loved seeing Belle in her pretty yellow dress. Belle is DD#1's favorite.

Great pictures, Jeff!!! And so nice seeing you and family again, the girls are getting SO big. Dinner was nice also. And that picture of Abby there in the car is just how I imagined, LOL, a quiet, peaceful drive home. Thanks for sharing the day.
