Earl of Sandwich #1

I love Downtown Disney. I spend hours and hours there and just love it! EoS is one of my favorite restaurants because it is very affordable. For me, it is just as comparable as going to a McAllisters or a Panera bread.

First off, I would like to say that although the line is usually relatively long it goes pretty fast. Also, consider the fact that the next morning I was running in the Princess Half so I was on a "light" meal fast.

What I ordered:

Chinese Chicken Salad - grilled chicken, Chinese greens, crispy won tons, fresh soy ginger dressing.

I was not really a fan. I always look forward to my EoS and I was sad to have to go with the salad because it was the night before the race.
That said, the lettuce was crisp and fresh, their was a lot of food (I didn't finish mine) but the wrap was definitely DRENCHED in dressing.:sad1:

I didn't take a pic-like I said it was the night before the big race so I was really focused on how the heck I was going to run 13.1 miles the next day!

BUT here is one of the snacks we had later in the week at MK...

DOLEwhip.jpg

This my friends, is what I go to MK for... I love the castle and the rides... but this is the true beauty of MK~

The DOLE WHIP is an amazing concoction of pineapple juice and pineapple soft serve (it's more of a frozen yogurt type to me). It is so perfect for a hot day at the MK. Smooth, creamy, and refreshing. It is HUGE! Thank goodness I had DBF there to share! I believe it is one snack credit on the DDP. It is located in Adventureland near the Jungle Cruise ride. This snack has always been my number one favorite!:cheer2:

*DM spotted it at the Poly in the counter service restaurant on the trip as well! YUM!

Hello from England :goodvibes

Great start, can't wait to read more popcorn::

Thanks for reading! I have always wanted to take a trip to england!!

Well i guess its time for my review of Earl of Sandwich... wait one sec i need my coffee first. :surfweb: ok thats much better, LETS GO!!!!!

Well alas I have no pictures, but I did have an amazing sandwich!! I ordered the meatball sandwich witch was fantastic, and they definitely did not skimp on the meatballs like a lot of places do. But truth be old, my favorite thing i ate there was the pasta salad! It was by far the best pasta salad I have ever had. It was very creamy and it had the best flavor!

Now on to the Pineapple... words can no describe how refreshing this snack was! There was plenty of pineapple juice and pineapple soft serve. Pineapple soft serve, who would have thought it?

Alright well thats it for this one! Stay tuned for more!

Oh yes! I told DBF we would be having some serious problems if he didn't think WDW was the best place on earth! :lmao:

Oh no! I would hate to associate EoS with going home :( We used to go on It's A Small World in MK when I was a kid as our last ride so the music always makes me sad :(

I'm totally loving the tag team review! This is fun and I can't wait for more!

Great start! I'm planning on running the Wine and Dine half in October and I'm already pretty nervous about finishing it! How was the Princess half?

I, too, love the tag team reviewing! It's interesting to hear two different people's reviews of the same meal. There are lots of times that DH loves a place and I just think it's so-so. Looking forward to the rest of your reviews!!

:thumbsup2 YAY! I am so glad! Thanks for reading!

Amazing! I am thinking about doing a TR on it. It was completely different than any other Disney trip I have ever done. I would highly recommend doing it! The Wine & Dine is an incredibly unique run though because it is at night... I am dying to try it!!! Although that would mean lots of training... AGAIN...:scared1:

Yes! We feel the same way! I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that DBF is quite the carnivore and I am a semi-vegetarian (only chicken, turkey, and fish) so we differ on plenty of things! :rotfl:

This was our very first trip to Kouzzina. Let me start off by saying that my fam has been RAVING about this restaurant since they went without me and they had built it up to be amazing. So I was pretty darn excited about coming!

This was also our first TS meal of the trip and we went for dinner (we finished the princess half that morn. :woohoo:) and we were huuuuungry.

We arrived at Kouzzina and I believe our reservation was for 5:30 or 6 (Does that sound right, Toddzilla?) & we were seated as soon as they opened for dinner. There weren't a whole lot of people there when they opened, I assume this was because it was a Sunday night.

After we were seated the server brought fresh bread and olive oil dipping stuff. It was delicious. The light olive oil was my fav... the dark tasted a little too... ehhh dark? I am sorry that isn't a very good description. tangy? Idk. Toddzilla help me out here!

I ordered the Whole Fish

wholefishkouzzina.jpg

This was some delicious fish people!!! I loved it! It gets an A+! And I am not normally one to like having my food "look" at me (right, Toddzilla?) but they took the head away after I took the picture and a server fileted the fish right in front of us!

fishkouzzina.jpg

Very cool! My only complaint was really my own fault- I swallowed a little bone and it freaked me out a little bit! I must have been eating it too fast because of it's deliciousness!!!

I also got the garlic smashed potatoes but I was pretty disappointed in because I assumed they were garlic MASHED potatoes. As you can see, they were not...

I am also going to include DM's cinnamon lasagna

cinnalasagnakouzzina.jpg

I had never tasted this combination of flavors before. It was so unique. "CINNAMON? In lasagna?!" Yes - and it was quite delectable. It is honestly the perfect combination. I have no idea how they made the flavors meld together so perfectly. It was mind blowing. I seriously couldn't wrap my mind around it. And that is why I only had a few bites. It totally confused this brain!:rotfl2:

And... last but not least... DBF's entree...idk what it is... Go for it Toddzilla!

Well i know this response has been long awaited! I have no clue what took me so long! :confused3

The bread and olive oil they brought out before the meal was fabulous! i LOVED the light oil!

Next came my pork tenderloin! that thing princessariel09 posted! It was by far the best pork tenderloin i have ever tasted! :worship: and the zucchini corn bread that came as my side was just as good!

And then there was dessert. We shared honey drizzled donuts with raspberry and vanilla dipping sauces. These were one of the best deserts I had on this trip to disney. They were very light and fluffy and also not too sweet. (pics to come, my post count isnt high enough haha :lmao:)

Well thanks for reading and stay tuned till next time!!!! :goodvibes

This post made me cry :lmao:

I'm such a weirdo... and I'm joining in! popcorn::
