CLUB 33 TRIP REPORT
Note: I've thumbnailed the images so they don't overwhelm your browser.
Hi Everyone -- I need to catch up on the thread, but first I wanted to post about how
AMAZING Club 33 was. It was a truly magical experience and lives up to the hype of being outstanding. If you thought the Disney magic was impressive within the Parks and Hotels, Club 33 is that but on steroids. Let's put it this way, the answer to a question is "yes" - no matter what you ask. Everything is practically perfect with a hint of pixie dust!
We got there right at 130p and rang the doorbell, and were let into the little office/room thing to check in. Then you go into the patio area while you wait for your table to be ready and you enjoy a fresh cool towel for your hands and face, along with a glass of cucumber water to relax. We took some pictures on the staircase then proceeded into the dining area for our lunch.
Look at how pristine the decor and ambiance is. It's very fashionable and elegant. I wish I could have seen it for dinner! We're in the back corner of the long view photo - so we had lots of windows to look out and a balcony to stand on. The other view is from our table.
Lunch: 4 course dining ($80) with a wine pairing ($50). You got to choose from a slew of menu items from the choices below:
The food was so amazing and perfectly portioned. I have pictures of it, but I am limited on 10 photo uploads per post... so, had to cut these. I chose the mushroom appetizer, the "soup" which apparently had broth added after(?), the lamb... and they made me a special sorbet for dessert because all items had nuts and I'm allergic.
The ambiance of the place was so cool! We were right above Cafe Orleans and looked out over the Rivers of America / Tom Sawyer's Island. You could see the queue of "peasants" waiting for Pirates. It was a great people watching spot and we just enjoyed looking at all the finder details on the second story balconies of New Orleans square you typically don't get to see from down below.
Of course this can be too much to take in. Even the bathrooms are gorgeous and include a fainting couch if you just need a moment to collect yourself.
But in the end, I left all smiles and couldn't believe that this magical place exists. I am glad to have experienced this one, especially for my 33rd birthday. Our server, Matt, was a treat! Loved how attentive he was. In fact, my husband and I were all smiles for the rest of the day.
The End
