Princess Phoebe's Pre-WISH-Trip Report (arriving in MK 4/17/10)

It was fun chatting. We hadn't done that in a while. What were you thinking on those envelopes!?

:lmao: You tell me what I was thinking and we'll both know! I believe the thought was somewhere along the lines of "If I bankrupt myself at Disney at least I know I'll have a check waiting when I get back" LOL! So not going to bankrupt myself, but we like having the cash for little extras that we wouldn't have otherwise. Also it will only take me about 10 hrs to do the 500, as opposed to the 20 it would take to do 1000. It will be like flying through them only doing 100 a day when I'm used to doing double that.

Another package arrived today from Jessica (Haganfam5). Oh. My. Gosh. I hate to be such a valley girl here, but that is seriously what I said when the girls opened the envelope. Jessica made the most adorable Minnie Mouse sundress for Tessa.

Phoebe giggles when we open the packages. She loves the packaging as much as Tessa. ;)

Then she decided that this bold fabric was interesting and wanted to check it out.
P1013949.jpg

Tessa decided she wanted to hurry up and try it on before Phoebe got her "slobbers" on it. :lmao: Ah sisters.
P1013953.jpg

The face of an angel and the mind of well, you know.
P1013956.jpg

The chair was her idea.
P1013959.jpg

She wanted to keep it on even after I was done taking the pictures.
P1013964.jpg

Is that just the cutest thing you've ever seen? Phoebe's "nanny" was here and she just kept oohing and aahing over the workmanship. The ruffles are adorable and I'm in love with the bloomers! Tessa discoverd it twirls too, but that was as she was taking it off so I didn't catch that shot. ;)

Thank you so much Jessica! Tessa will look so cute in that outfit on our trip! When she was brushing her teeth before bed I was putting her hair up and I pulled the hair into two pony tails high on her head and asked her if she wanted to have Minnie Mouse ears when she wears that dress. Her eyes got big as she realized it really did look like ears and she said Yeah!!! I think she is getting more excited and realizing that the trip is close. Thank you, thank you! It's gorgeous and we all love Tessa's new Minnie outfit!

Love the Minnie outfit. Tessa is soooo cute in that!! Jammies and all the pixie dust is fabulous! They will have so much fun!

Good idea! I know I've glanced at your PTR or TR a few times. I lose track. I'm usually the last on on here, being on the western half of the US and a night owl. It's a horrible habit to break and I regret it every single morning!

I finally broke myself of the late nights last week (maybe that's why there hasn't been a new installment on my TR since then:rotfl:). It was killing me...............I'd nap on and off all day and drink 5-6 cans of coke for the caffeine. Took me three days to get over the caffeine withdrawal!!

You'll have to chastise me if you ever notice I've been on in the wee hours LOL

Hope Phoebe (just love that name, have I ever told you that:)) is feeling well today.

I've been sick for a few days and have been using my down time to catch up on all of the PTR's I subscribed to. Whew! I am all caught up on yours!

Love your Big Give stuff so far! How sad is it that I forget which camera I have - maybe Kristine will chime in if she remembers for me - it is a Canon Rebel Xsi or Xti pr Xs - it is one of the newer ones but not the newest. I have had Canon Rebels for years - first a film one and now I am on my second digital. I love them - they can be point and shoot or they can be more professional. Only issue I had with one is the focusing seemed to be off - I asked my friend who is a newspaper photographer and has a zillion cameras and he said that is an issue sometimes with Canons but he still loves them and swears by them. Sorry for the novel but besides my DD - Disney and photography are my favorite things to talk about!

I am so glad I finally had the time to get caught up and learn more about you and your beautiful family.

Enjoying all the news as I do all the catch up I have here! Such cute outfits!

How's the camera search going??

Haven't started yet because I knew I'd be interrupted. I have a hard time keeping my train of thought. If I can't get to it one of these late nights this weekend, I'll definitely have time Monday when Phoebe goes back to school!:yay:

I got your PM and I didn't write you back.:sad2: We'll send the girls a card when we are in WDW. :thumbsup2 If there is anything in particular you want on the card just let me know. :goodvibes

No worries! :guilty: I took forever to write you, so there. I also feel guilty that we've already been fortunate to receive mail already. So, only if you have time. Promise me you won't let it add any stress.

I can see that. DH's special assignment last week will bring in some OT, and I was thinking "Good, we can stock up a little before we leave". Then I remembered that van service that had to go on the CC last month and it became "Good, we'll have our CC paid off before we leave". :lmao:

Love the Minnie outfit. Tessa is soooo cute in that!! Jammies and all the pixie dust is fabulous! They will have so much fun!

Me too! It just fits her personality so well. :cutie: We are loving all the spoiling and are so grateful to the Givers. :cloud9:

Thanks, about the name. Both of hers are old family names. I never knew choosing names for my kids would stress me out. (And I know you like her middle, Olivia). ;)

I will probably not chastise you, but maybe tease you a little. :rotfl: I am the worst! When DH gets home at 2 or 3am and sees me still up he's not even surprised anymore. I try really hard to jump in bed if I hear his car pull in the drive though. :rotfl2:

Thanks Jen! I don't think I've ever heard a complaint about Canon. I'm glad to hear that the problem your friend had didn't deter him from Canon in general. I'm definitely focusing my search on them. (no pun intended, LOL)

A big THANKS to the DISer who sent a Disney Postcard, autographed by the head honchos themselves, Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Phoebe loves mail and Tessa was extra excited to see the writing and kept trying to read it "M, muh, muh, M"...:cutie:

We also received a package on our doorstep last night but we got home too late to show the girls. We opened it this morning and Daddy finally got to participate in the excitement. This was from Crystal and family, DISname: AlternateEgo.

Opening the box, always a suspenseful moment. :goodvibes
AlternateEgo2.jpg

Tessa loves the Tinkerbell card that's inside. Notice her other arm is shielding it from Phoebe. She's not being greedy, she just knows, Phoebe grabs everything. :rotfl:
AlternateEgo4.jpg

Look Daddy!
AlternateEgo5.jpg

Okay Phoebe, you can have the card now while untie the bow.
AlternateEgo6.jpg

It looks like clothing. Tessa notices Tiana and smiles.
AlternateEgo7.jpg

Then she notices the headbands. Oooooh, Aaaaaaaah, Ohhhhhh. (We actually own these same headbands, although not in the matching colors to the outfits, but I thought it was funny she was SO impressed with them). :lmao:
AlternateEgo8.jpg

Awwww, it's a coordinating set of Tiana outfits. How cute!
AlternateEgo10.jpg

When Tessa was looking at the hem up close, she noticed the sequins and said "Oh, look, it's DVD's!". :rotfl2:
AlternateEgo17.jpg

Detail of the "DVDs".
AlternateEgo31.jpg

When I was getting them dressed I took the piece that is on Tessa's head here and said "What is this? A bow? A sash? A scarf?" and Tessa promptly replied "A bow!" and that is where she made me put hers. Before the bow was even done I could tell that is very likely NOT what it was intended to be. She also insisted that she have both the "bow" and the headband on together.
(This one made me laugh because Phoebe is grabbing again.)
AlternateEgo16.jpg

Phoebe modeling what I *think* is the correct placement of the "extra" piece.
AlternateEgo18.jpg

Not the best smile, but I love how the lavender shows off her eyes.
AlternateEgo19.jpg

Two very well dressed girls.
AlternateEgo15.jpg

I was taking the pics outside because the lighting inside seems to be too much for my old camera to handle. The "big" kids on our street were all coming home from school and walking by and commenting on how cute the girls looked. I thought it was sweet because all of these kids are teens and pre-teens, so if they said it, I'm pretty sure they meant it. ;)

Of course, as soon as Tessa saw all the kids she was ready to be done with pictures and go play!
AlternateEgo13.jpg

(Small detail, for those who are interested. You can tell that Phoebe does have quite a bit of vision, but moments like these - the kids are talking and approaching us, but still 20 feet or so away - she is not looking at them like Tessa is, because she can't see them yet. You can tell she knows they are there because her eyebrows are furrowed and she is trying to figure out who it is. I just think it's interesting how her eyes and brain function.)

So picture time was over but Tessa was very insistent that she wear hers to play in. I took the sash off her head so it wouldn't get lost and told her "NO MUD". This is an important directive to give to Tessa.

Crystal, thank you so much for the adorable outfits. I am all about having the girls match and coordinate while they are still too young to argue. ;) They fit perfectly and show off my girls' cute and skinny legs. (Man what I would give to have legs like that!) Thank you so much!!!

I wanted to include this shot in the last post but I went over my limit.
Just so you know, an important detail in Tessa's world, the outfit was also aerodynamic. :lmao:
021913.jpg

Those cute legs...
AlternateEgo24.jpg

And just because I talked about it so much here...I decided to try a hairstyle this morning on Tessa and I think it turned out pretty good. She got a couple of compliments on it today from adults. It took about 30 mins I think and my hands were definitely numb by the end but not too horrible overall. I think I remember reading this style is called a "veil". It looks a little like a French braid in the front.
02192.jpg

I liked how the hot pink bands contrasted with her dark hair. It stayed in pretty well throughout the day, but I'm not expecting it to last through the night. We'll see.

Very cool outfits, isn't Crystal great?? I love the lavender on Phoebe and pink on Tessa. And you did an awesome job on Tessa's hair..it looks so pretty! And she looks..I don't know..older maybe? It just looks really good hon! And thank you for your part, btw..

My, aren't those the sweetest little outfits?? I like the extra piece as a scarf, as you put on Phoebe! but a bow works too. :thumbsup2

Yes, I can see the "look" on Phoebe's face as she tries to discern the situation. I think it's great that you're a mom who totally can read every muscle movement and "look" so that you can respond to her best! Good JOB, MOM!!!! :cheer2:

Such fun bouncing pix!! Makes me want to be 4 again. :rolleyes1

:yay: for another Big Give! The girls look so cute in their Tiana dresses :cutie: And I love how you did Tessa's hair :thumbsup2

The girls look so excited for their Tiana outfits!!!!!

I think you did a good job on the Tessa's hair. :thumbsup2 I have to do Juliana's on Wednesdays in a bun, when she goes to dancing. Let's say some times it looks OK and other times..... well.... not so good! LOL

I love the outfits, they look great!! Also, I wanted to say you did a great job on Tessa's hair. It looks really pretty. I hope your hands feel better though. I also like how the outfit does make Pheobe's eyes just pop out at you. Can't wait to see more.

Adorable outfits!! I did notice that about Pheobe's eyes.In one of the pictures on the couch I could really see it. For some reason Ty does something similar with his eyes when he is in pain. I havent quite figured it out just yet.Its like he is looking far away to see what is right in front of him. And like they are heavy.

I love the pics!!

Love the Tiana outfits. Good job Crystal! :goodvibes and Melissa you did great on Tessa's hair I think it's really cute especially with all those pink ties.

Oh Melissa...the girls looked absolutely adorable!! Love the Tiana outfits!!

You girls are all bad influences....you've got me looking into cameras now too....Notice there aren't any pictues on my PTR lately!! Jake dropped ours and the lens is smashed.

So I am looking at Canon or Nikon too!! Let me know what you decide on!!

Melissa the girls are toooooo cute! I love the outfits and I'm sure Tessa's hair will stay if you wrap it up tonight. I love the look on Phoebe's face. She get so excited about mail!

I was behind, but all caught up now! Very cute Big Give items. Love Tessa's hair-very cute. I have a Nikon D60 package that I got at Costco-came with 2 lenses.

Absolutley adorable pics of the girls in their new outfits. Tell your Tessa my Tessa says she looks really pretty in her new outfit. I coulden't help but laugh at Tessas DVD comment. I do that style in Jennas hair once in awhile. It usually stays for a couple days.

I love the pix on the trampoline.

Tessa's do looks great. Sorry about the numb hands...but the result :thumbsup2

All right girlie...you need to post on your own thread, or I'm gonna hi-jack it and start writing about imaginary happenings about what I think is going on with your trip! :lmao:
