Princess/Mom Tea at the Grand Floridian

I hate to be the voice of dissent, but...

I took my daughter at 3 and a half, and was a little disappointed considering the money we spent.

Rose Petal is NOT a princess, and she is the main feature here, not Sleeping Beauty. I agree the older kids enjoyed it more, but for us it was definitely not worth the money. I was looking forward to it ending.

On the other side of the coin, my daughter loved CRT, and squealed in delight at that, where she was able to see FIVE princesses, and it cost much less!

I felt like we spent the whole time just waiting to see Sleeping Beauty, and her visit was quite brief. I guess you need to know your own daughter, and if the whole "tea" thing is her idea of a good time. Don't go just for princess interaction, because it's virtually non-existent.

Just my humble opinion...

Is it worth it for an 8year old. I am trying to figure if my daughter would still be awed by it or just okay'd by it.

I would also be interested in the average age of the other girls, and what people beleive is the "top-end" age for this. I know alot depends on the individual girl, but in general...

ANy updates on availability aafter today?

Also, what number do you call for the tea? Regular Disney Dining?
Thanks

Well, I don't think most 3 yr olds would like it. It is kind of long, more theatrical and musical and not totally about the disney princesses. As I said, my older daughter (8 yrs old )REALLY enjoyed it, while my 5 yr old was happy to be there, but not as enchanted as my 8 yr old. She was afraid of being the oldest one there, but there were a couple of girls that looked like they were 10/11ish. I don't know if it would be worth the money for a 3/4 yr old. ??? I think 5 - 9 is the more appropriate age range for this party. Maybe 10.

I REALLY thought it was cute and didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did, honestly. I think they do a terrific job with the party. The gifts at the end are kind of for a variety of ages. The doll and bracelet were more appropriate for my 5 yr old, both girls liked them enough. They received princess scrapbook pages and stickers that are kind of for an older girl. They all received crowns of ribbons when entering the party and were showered with rose petals.

It was cute, but only you know your daughter(s). It is about 2 1/2 hours long and Aurora does just come for about the last 45 minutes or so to visit and sign autographs. If it is just princess interaction you're after this may not be the thing, but if you want some neat entertainment and a different kind of disney treat for your daughter this is great. I know part of the reason I liked it so much was that my daughters were just awed. If your daughter is restless with the show, it would NOT be worth it - I can totally understand funcinderella's situation. My 5 yr old would not have sat through it at 3 yrs old!!
