How is the princess lunch in Epcot? My cousin and family are going to be down the same time we are and they made a reservation for it - her daughter (who is my goddaughter) loves princesses princess: They asked if we wanted to go, but I'm not sure - I looked at the menu and it doesn't sound that great, ecspecially at 24.99 a person. Also do the princesses spend a lot of time at the tables? I'm trying to decide if it's worth going just to see her my goddaughter's reaction when she gets to meet them, keeping in mind we'll probably get to see princesses in the parks with her during other parts of the trip. We're also already booked for Chef Mickey's, so we will definately be doing a character meal with her.

The princess interaction is great. They spend a lot of individual time with each child. The food was ok. Probably very good if you like Norwegian food. We went for dinner not lunch.

We went to the lunch last summer and my DD 4 loved the princesses. I thought the food was good, but my kids weren't thrilled with their cheesy pasta. However, there is a buffet as well, and there was plenty of food they liked on the buffet. We also enjoyed the tray of desserts. We actually didn't see the princesses in the park that much, so this was a nice opportunity to see them. :thumbsup2

My DH and I went last year because he wanted to try the food. The princesses were very attentive (and Aladdin was there as well and made a huge fuss over me because it was my birthday--I actually felt a little embarrassed). We thought the food was only okay. DH had the braised lamb and I had the traditionial kjottkaker (some kind of beef I think with mashed potatos).

THE food is nothing special in my opinion. You will get people who will say the menu is too hard to choose from- I'm from the other camp where I think they have an opportunity to make it something special and they bland it out. But for me- i'm not there for the food, I am there for my dd to see the princesses. The interaction there is terrific and the princesses do spend a decent amount of time at each table. Trying to see the princesses in the park is pretty hard- the lines are long so to me, this is the way to do it. That being said, I am trying to decide come June if the price increase makes 32.99 per person for an egg bfast worth it.

Family and I went to this last August and loved the interaction with the princesses.. MY DD5 at the time loved it.. she's huge into the Disney princesses so she was in heaven.. They seated us about right by the entrance door where they all came in, so we got to see them first. The food wasn't much to write home about as has been stated above. We went for the dinner.. I wouldn't mind trying it for breakfast on our next visit..

On another note.. does anyone who has been to this recently know whether they have added Giselle to the Princess list? My DD just loves Giselle and would be awesome if she were part of the lineup.

Akershus is the way to go to meet princesses! We went to MK on our first day and stood in lines to see princesses - and the next day at Akershus met some of the same ones. Only they come TO your table and chat with you - no lines! This was much more enjoyable than waiting in lines at the parks.

If I had it to do over again, I would plan Akershus for the first day and then we'd only have to stand in lines to meet the princesses that we missed!
