I am going to Disney with my high school band in February, as some of you may know. A friend of mine LOVES the Diseny princesses. princess: I was wondering if any of you know of anything that I can do that she might like. I looked into the princess meals at Norway in EPCOT, but they are too expensive. I told her that we would get a hot dog, stand in line to see Cinderella, eat it when she gets into sight and it would be the same thing, only 20$ cheaper. LOL! Also, most of my friends are in the band and I was thinking I would get something for them for the trip for Christmas. Any ideas? Please keep in mind that we are high school students, so we are pretty much broke. I am at least. LOL. Oh, and one more thing... we have no shame. We don't know what embarassment means. We will not feel stupid skippng down Main Street singing Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Da. My friend and I have already decided we want to go to that story time with Belle that is by the castle. Yes, we will be the oldest there most likely, but we will probably be the most interested and be like "what happens next?"
Thanks in advance!

Go to Toon Town. In the big gift shop there they have a whole side that has lines for characters. It's free, you just have to wait for it, and they do have Princesses there!

They've got great character pens and pencils for gifts for your friends, and character candy is fun, too.

Depending on how broke you are, I like to buy the packs of shaped crayons for my students when I go.........they have Princesses, Mickey and Friends, and Pooh and Friends packs. It's 20 dollars for like 30 crayons. You could do some free downloads from the comp. for coloring pages........it'd be fun to give each friend some coloring pages and crayons on the way home!

Thanks paigevz! The coloring book is a cute idea! They would probably come in handy for our twenty hour bus ride home! LOL. We aren't going until February though, so I want to get them something and give it to them around Christmas that they could use. Does anyone know if they have the autograph books in the Disney store. I was thinking that I could make up a little gift bag for each of them, but I don't know what to put in them. My mom suggested Disney Dollars. I might get like a pen, some candy, and a couple Disney Dollars for each of them if they have it at the Disney Store. I might get something else little if they have something cute at the Disney Store. I also might do the coloring book thing just for fun and because its cute! HHHHMMMMMMMM. Anyone else have any ideas? Also, how do I get one of those phone calls from a Disney character and how much is it? I might get that as part of my friends christmas present. I know somebody has some good ideas out there!

There is a website, gifts of a lifetime, http://www.giftsofalifetime.com where you can have a postcard mailed from a character. It costs around $3. I had one sent to each of my DDs from their favorite princess before our trip and they were soooo excited :)

Okay, I checked and they are $3.50 Click on "personal Disney shopper" on the left.

You could also buy an inexpensive autograph book for your friend to collect autographs. You will not be the oldest people standing in line to meet the characters :earboy2: You could even decorate the pages with stickers or such things if you like.

Have a great time!

Laurie :)

My DS sells Disney Dollars, Key Chains, Pens, Princess jewery etc. I have never seen autograph books.

Visit the princess room in toon town. There are 3 princesses there to see. On our last trip we met Cinderella, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty there. You can get some great photos.

I'd be happy to send a postcard from one of the princesses to your friend just prior to your trip. PM me her name and address and when you will be heading to WDW and I will send the postcard. Are you staying on Disney property? If so, PM where you will be staying and the name the reservation will be under. Perhaps one of the princesses will have something waiting for your friend when she checks in.

Also try the Dollar Tree Stores, they have a lot of Disney items from pens to crayons to books, so many different items. You may have to check out a couple of stores. Toon town is a good suggestion that was given to you, even if the line looks long it does move pretty quick. We saw Arora Cinderella and Snow White. When we were coming out Mary Poppins was in the outside area. It was great. Also connect with Feral PEg she is a sweet heart and your friend will really be surprised

I go with a female friend, and she's into princesses big time. For our upcoming December trip, I've printed out a bunch of the Disney desktop/activity center (http://disney.go.com/magicartist/index_main.html) crafts (bookmarks, coloring book pages, playsets) and am planning on decorating our room with them. We have a color printer, so it prints out pretty well. If you don't have one, then it might be a little labor intensive to color everything. Hey, you said "cheap" :)

Thanks for all the ideas all! We are all so excited to go! Keep the ideas coming. Also, if any of you have any ideas of something else to do, whether it has anything to do with the princesses or not, to make this trip special for everyone, please share your ideas! This is a lot of my friend's first trip to Disney and I want to make it worth it. Two of my friends love NASCAR racing and they are upset because we will be in Disney for the Daytona 500. I'm like IT'S DISNEY! I don't understand how you are upset to go to Disney. Oh well.

Feralpeg: Thank you so much for your offer! I am just not too sure that my dad and the band director and color guard instructor will appreciate that. I think they will consider it a security hazard. I wish I could take you up, but I am just afraid of what would happen if I did. I don't want to risk not going on the trip for that.

No problem. I understand. I hope you all have wonderful time!

They have now in some of the shops in Disney (I know the princess/kid shop in MGM on the corner of the turn off to Tower of Terror) has them... banners that say Princess on them, like a sash that pageant winners get. They are really cute, saw a woman wearing one with a tiara...

Thanks! Those sashes are a cute idea. We (the guard) got boas for costume day at school. We might wear the boas in Disney. I might get the sash things that you said, anewvance, for my friend. I call her the Disney princess and I am the Disney queen. Her name started when her boyfriend texted her a message on the phone and told her she was a Disney princess, so I kinda stole the name from him.
Any more ideas?
