I have done the Princess 1/2 for the past 3 years and have stayed off property and at the All Star Sports. This year I'm thinking about upgrading to POR. We have stayed there on vacations so I know about the resort. I want to know what it is like during the half weekend. I enjoyed staying at All Star Sports last year. The resort wasn't that crowded. My only complaint was the bus line AFTER the race. It was awful! It was raining and I think we waited about 45 minutes. My question is, is is worth paying the extra just so I don't have to wait in that line again???:confused3

I think you will ENJOY being back on property! Note that most every year and for every race there is a bus snafu. Fortunately these snafus tends to rotate so no one resort is every punished year in and year out. I would go with what your budget allows. I really like POR but have not stayed there over Princess Weekend. I will let others comment on crowds

We stayed at POFQ last year and while the bus line looked long at the end of the race it was not 45 minutes. This year we decided to do POR because I love it over there...and they have coffee makers and frigs in the rooms! If your budget allows I say give it a try! Nothing like Beignets after the race, gotta say!
