So which one would give us more princess interaction possibility?

We want to do a character meal and I was planning to take my DD to Ariel's. DS doesn't want to see princesses and I don't blame him. I was going to just let the boys do their own thing while the girls ate with princesses.
But then I started to think that we could do a different meal as a family and DD could see the princesses at the Fantasy Faire.

Would that be OK or would she see more princesses at Ariel's?

Is the Fantasy Faire something that changes often? I mean is there a chance it won't be there in June?

The PFF gives you the opportunity to meet three princesses. You do NOT get a choice, and the one you want might be leaving just as its your turn. The line can be long!

With Ariel's, they rotate princesses as well, but you might get more time, and you're at least *around* the princesses for longer than in the PFF. But it's expensive!

If I had one kid who wanted princesses and one that didn't (I have one boy who did indeed want to meet them, b/c he loves girls and women and loves the attention they give him) I would probably let the one that didn't go off with the other parent, while the one that did stayed in line at the PFF.

They used to have other activities at the Faire area so that uninterested parties could hang out, but they got rid of those "non revenue creating" things, and now families have really no good options! IMO.

I'd go with Ariel's for you and your DD. Talk to your DH & DS, look over the menu (allears.net) and maybe they will want to go too. I can't wait to try out the new menu myself. :)

They have a new menu??? We will be going in mid May.

In response to the question, we did both. The boys did their own thing and that was just fine with them. It was great at Ariel's Grotto with 3 generations sitting around the table. Very cool. My DD talked Aura's ear off for 10min.!!! It was great. BTW, we had an early lunch res. about 11:15am I think it was. The Fantasy Faire was fun, my DD mostly went to learn how to be a princess (curtsies, etc)

Yup, new menu with new starters and new food. :) I want to go in March and maybe again in May. LOL

Charmama,
The new menu is awesome. There are some great pictures in the dining review sticky. It's still a 3 course meal. But instead of bad soup or soggie salad, they bring out a 3 tiered appetizer tray with fruited jello on top, anitpasto relishes, meats and cheeses in the iddle with salad on the bottom. It also comes with a variety of breads and 3 different spreads. You choose your entree. DH and DD loved the trip tip and I havd an excellent ciopinno. For dessert they bring out a tray that has a variety of desserts like smores, chocolate melting cake, a white chocolate shell filled with berries. Very yummy. You'll love the changes from the old bad meatloaf and potpie

We were amazed at the level of interaction at Ariel's. For my 4 year old, it literally was one of the best moments of her life. The princesses took so much more time than I thought they would with both of my kids. My DS 2 fell in love with Belle and she was AMAZING with both kids. Crouched down next to his highchair and talked to them for a while. It was precious.

We also asked on our way out if my daughter could talk to Ariel again and since there wasn't anyone else coming down the stairs, they let her go over and give her another hug and have another girl-to-girl chat.

We loved the food, too, BTW!!

I have been thinking about doing this meal with my 5 year old daughter while my 8 year old son and husband go ride the big rides.

I made him go to the castle for breakfast last year at WDW because my husband wanted to eat at the castle too! This time, I will let my son off the hook I think!:goodvibes

Ariel was the one princess we did not meet at WDW so this sounds like fun.

Is it difficult to get in, do I need to call exactly 60 days out?
