Princess dining experience

Does any one know if there is a princess entrance announcement at the very first seating of any princess dining experience, especially CRT, Akershus, Bon voyage? Or they just start seating everyone and the princesses are just showing up randomly. Thank you!

I have always heard them announce each princess at CRT as they entered the dining room. I'm not sure, but I think they do complete "seatings" where they sit the dining room full, then have the princesses enter and tour, then empty it out and start again. I don't recall how they do it at the other locations.

I have seen them announce at CRT (it was the earliest dinner seating, not sure if that made a difference.)

They also announced at our Trattoria al forno breakfast. We had a 7:55 am ADR.

I’ve been to Akershus 3 times for the last breakfast seating and they did not announce them.

This past April, they announced the characters at the Bon Voyage breakfast when they first entered the room. Same trip they announced the princesses as they entered at CRT. But if you happen to be seated after they're already in the room, you'll miss the announcement so it might seem like they just randomly show up.

I don't remember announcements at Akershus, but they did every single time we've been to CRT and the one time we went to Bon Voyage. It wasn't even a first seating sort of thing. Ex. We had an 11:30am ADR for Bon Voyage, saw the princes and princesses at the tail end of a rotation and after a quick break, they started announcing them again to the dining room.

IIRC they announce the entrances at both AKershus and CRT. I also remember announcements for Cindy and CHarming at 1900 PF

Thank you, OP, for asking this question. I've wondered, too, as we are doing every princess meal on our next trip. Our first princess meal was at DLR in 2012 (so before DD was born, and my sons were 2, 5, and 8) at Ariel's Grotto (RIP). They did announcements for the princesses, and my kids really responded to all the pomp, feeling like they were at an Event, somewhere special. So, I'm glad to hear that CRT and Bon Voyage might do this!

Thank you for all the inputs. We had done CRT, Akershus and Bon voyage last year for my older daughter’s BD. We didn’t get the first seating on any of those, so didn’t experience the announcements like they did at Ariel’s princess dining at California adventure (RIP in deed). My daughter’s enjoyed the royal announcement a lot! Now it’s time to plan another trip for my younger daughter’s birthday next year, want to make sure we at least schedule one of them to be able to experience it at WDW.

Yes, this was the exact reason why I asked the question. My girls loved the royal announcement at Ariel’s Grotto very much. Glad to hear that they do that at WDW too. Now we can plan accordingly to make sure they can experience this again!
