Is there a place to dine with the princesses at DL? We went about 10 years ago and I did it with my daughter then, but am having a hard time finding it now??? HELP!

There is currently no princess character meal at DLR. You can meet the princesses at PFF in DL and you can meet Elsa and Anna at DCA in the Animation Bldg.
What was your question about the castle?

10 years ago there was Princess Dining at Ariel's Grotto in DCA but that restaurant has become Lamplight Lounge and eliminated character dining. As LuckyRabbit said there is not currently a Princess Dining option at DLR.

We were at DLR this week with my DD, who still loves the Disney Princesses but is nearing the end of the total princess obsession. We had three character meals, and while we enjoyed them all, DD really missed having a princess meal. She asked a couple times when we were eating at Ariel's, and had to be reminded that it's not a princess meal any more. Minnie's is fun for the character variety, and of course she had a lot of fun with Chip and Dale, Pluto, and Mickey at both Goofy's Kitchen and Storyteller's. But, for a certain population, there is just no replacing a princess meal! I hope they will create a new option before we go again in a few years, and I hope DD will still be interested at that time.

Very surprised they haven't put in a princess dining experience to replace Ariel's Grotto! That was one of the highlights of our first two family trips for birthday girls. Seems like it is a pretty good money maker too, but perhaps it took too many people out of the princess meet & greet lines and means more crowding on other attractions? Trying to guess at a business or logistic reason why they wouldn't have princess character dinner, and that's the best I can come up with.

The logical reason likely has to do with the huge income maker that alcohol is. They closed Ariel's grotto because the Cove Bar was so popular that they wanted to extend it. New lounge means new foods for people to try and extra alcohol revenue. I imagine that as popular as princesses were they still didn't bring the bucks in like alcohol does. As far as replacing it, I was hopeful they would put a princess meal in the new hotel, but now that has been cancelled. Hopefully they will find a place to reinstate the princesses. It would have been an ideal time this summer when they made changes to the character meals, but at that time they still planned to build the new hotel.

I am very suprised/dissapointed that there isnt a new Princess meal. It has really left no where for DD5 to have her bday lunch or dinner that is really for her.

I think the Character dining at DLR is quite lacking, it is basically the same characters at all of them.
They should have made Lamplight lounge a Pixar Character meal.

I'm going to agree with all of this!

A Pixar meal would be so fun, and we'd gladly pay for that.

I wonder if they were planning to put a fancy princess meal in the new hotel as a replacement for Ariel's.

Uhhh...meh. While I enjoyed Ariel's Grotto for food and location, it was kinda awkward for the "big kids" when you could actually look the person playing the character in the eyes vs the character suits!
