just a few questions

1) how do I make a reservation to the cinderella's breakfast? we are going Aug 31 to Sept 5.

2) dd wants to wear her princess dress, is this possible? are you allowed to carry back packs in DIsney? I dont think she could wear the dress all day so she will need to change

TIA
Kristen

Call Disney Dining at 407-939-3463 right now and they will tell you when you should call back to make a reservation. I can't remember if was up to 90 or 60 days before the day you wanted to go. But do call exactly when they tell you to because I remember I called a day after and couldn't get a reservation at my first choice at the time I wanted.

Your DD can wear a dress, what a nice touch!!

To try to make a Cinderella's breakfast reservation, you need to do this exactly 90 days before the morning you want the breakfast. You need to call right when the lines open to have a chance at getting this difficult priority seating. Actually, start calling before 7am EST; then keep hitting redial constantly until the lines open. 1 (407) WDW-DINE
I would try for the first day you are going to be there then if you don't get it you have other days to try for.

I am sure there is a thread on the restaurant board about this.
There is also a site that will calculate when you need to call.

As far as wearing a princess dress, fine to do it. Yes you can carry backpacks into the parks. They are searched at the entrance like anything else you carry in (diaper bags, fanny packs, purse, camera bag, etc.) Doesn't take too long though.

Hope this helps. Welcome to the disboards!

You need to call exactly 90 days prior to the day you want the reservation. You also need to call exactly at 7am when they open. It is a very frustrating thing to go through unless you are lucky to get a ressie your first time calling. I wasn't that lucky. I called every morning exactly at 7am and finally got thru about 7:05 and was told all ressies were booked. I finally did get thru and was able to get a ressie, my 5 y/o DD was thrilled. We will be eating b-fast at Cindy's castle in about 12 days. Good luck and don't give up b/c it may take a few days to get a ressie. My daughter wants to dress up too. I guess we will have to bring a change of clothes. Have a great time.

LOL OMG is it really the hard to get a reservation?

hmmm now I have to go count how many days we have left before we leave

Kristen

Kristen, you should still have time by my calculations.
Also, if your kids don't mind, there is another Princess Breakfast at Epcot. That's the one that I got ressies for. It's easier to get into. My DD doesn't mind that she won't get to eat with Cinderella. I have heard that we will get more "princess time" at the Princess Storybook Breakfast.
It's just a thought - Renee

LOL That Disney Dining Line is very competitive! I was upset with myself for calling on the 89th day thinking it wouldn't "hurt" when I should have done it on the 90th. I will not slip up this time. I'm ready and I have it all in my Palm with alarms to get up on time and fight!

The character breakfasts are a wonderful experience. Enjoy and I wish you luck on getting your first choices.

LOL - It is totally that competitive!!

When I called for our first Disney trip for my twin DD's (age 5 at the time), I started to cry when I got through!! I had tried for 5 days straight and that day was going to be my last shot.

The agent said to me "get ahold of yourself....these reservations go quickly!!"

Now as I look back on it, it's very funny to me!!

Good luck and have a magical time on your upcoming trip!!

It is totally hard!!! Last year we went to the Cinderella dinner at 1900 Park Fare-it was excellent. Great food-large buffet with a mini-kids buffet! Laid back-my kids loved it! Cinderella, Prince Charming, mice and Fiary Godmother there. I would highly recommend it. We will definately be going again. I am not going to even try for the breakfast. Just MHO!

You can take backpacks into the parks, you can also rent lockers right as you enter into the park. We did this one year, I don't remember why, but that might beat carrying the dress around in the backpack.

When we ate in the castle last year, I had told DD all along that we would buy her a Belle dress when we got to WDW, once down there they were $60-70 I believe and I knew I could go to the Disney store for 1/2 that. We didn't buy her the dress and I felt sooo... bad when we went to the breakfast and she watched the little girl next to her - in her Belle Dress:( . We're going back in October & her Belle dress will be 1st on my packing list::yes::

Dh does the cell and I do the regular phone we start calling at 6:58, last year I got thru at 6:59 (we had the Navy time thingy on the computer) we tried everyday and got thru on the 4th day. There was a whole thread on how to get thru etc. somewhere. Good Luck!

have not yet had a problem, but we don't go during peak season. I had costumes galore last year for DD1 (change of clothes in ziploc in diaper bag). This trip, I will call on the 90th day just to be safe. I will bring costumes for DD1, but not for DD11. Since it looks like you are going Labor Day weekend, I would call 90 days from the first day you will be at WDW, then the next day, etc, until you get a reservation. I made the reservations for Cindy's (yes, we went twice on the same trip & loved it!) on early entry days for the MK, so we got to enjoy the slow time in the park as an added benefit. We will do both the breakfast at the castle and the Princess breakkfast at Epcot. Both are wonderful!

I must be one of the very few people that had a ressie for cinderella's castle and cancelled it. Personally I just wasnt that impressed the last time and I heard there aren't hardly any characters there compared to the past..............we went with the new princess one on Epcot. I sure my girls will be thrilled. Good luck to all those trying to get in!

Find the cindy's advice and encouragement thread stuck to the top of the resturant (??) board- well some board anyway- and read thefirst and last few pages. If you are seriouse about getting this you must call at 6:58 EST 90 days before you want the PS (Not counting the day of). To be safe call a few days early to make sure, this will also let you know what the current survy questions you need to key in answers to are. Write down the sequence (it was 5-2-1-1, but it has changed I think). You can key in all the answers as soon as the first question ends (don't wait for the next question), doing this I got PS three days in a row! In fact I just cancelled for June 3rd today, in case anyone is trying. Remember to think about EE days and what time you want, and write that down because you will be so concerned with getting the PS that you might forget to ask for a 'good' time. We are doing both CRT and Storybook for the first time, just the girls, I can't wait! And yes do let your daughter wear her princess dress. Mine wore her Minnie dress last year (to Disneyland) and wore it all day! We have the cutest pictures and she got a lot of attention from Minnie and some other CM's because of it.

When I booked our resort dates last week I was asked if I wanted to make any PS's. I said sure and asked if anything was available for one of our days. I totally expected the answer to be no but, she said yes I have 2 tables of 2 and then 1 table of 2. We have 6 in our party and she told me since the PS times are only 5 minutes apart to ask for all of us to be seated together. I was so shocked that anything was available so I immediatly paid the deposits.

We've never done a character meal before. Do you get to have breakfast when the park opens up (its at 9, right?), or does it open earlier for the breakfast? Also, what are the prices for the princess breakfast? Thanks for the help!
