Prince Charmsalot to Accompany the Damsels This Trip But You Must Pose w/ Princesses

Jabead's Artist Point dining review finale made me very sentimental tonight when she posted some photos of her kids when they were younger from past WDW trips. It made me miss my baby boy who is currently in pre-deployment training in preparation for his December 15th ship date to Afghanistan. (I hate December 15th already!)

I can't believe that I almost missed this post. I keep forgetting to come over here to look for your updates, Brenda! :guilty: Next time can you give me a heads up when you post a major update like this on your PTR??? ;)

The pictures of your adorable blonde-haired little boys reminded me so much of my son when he was that age. He could have easily fit in as a member of your family. ;) Thank you so much for sharing your family photos with us...both the old and the new ones.

And one more thing that I must tell you, from one mother to another. As soon as I saw your son's deployment date, I began to tear up because December 15th happens to be my son's 17th birthday. Rest assured, he will have to endure an extra-long hug from his mom that day and it won't be just because it is his birthday.

I will also be sure to say a prayer that day for your son's safe return to his mama and the rest of the people who love him.

I am all caught up! I love your Disneyland pics and especially your Pink Cupcakes Vera!

I know you love Akershus so I thought I would ask you. What is the price per adult for breakfast? Does that price include a printed picture?

Thanks!! I am getting anxious for your trip!

I am so excited for you, Brenda!! You and your family are stunning! I think your oldest will need to learn the art of power napping. :)

One day I have to get myself to Disneyland
I would love to finally see it in person :goodvibes

Yes, Linda, you DO!!! And I could treat you to dinner at Cafe Orleans and have you try some pomme frittes! :thumbsup2

I'm just jealous that you may be able to work out a quick get together with Jabead for your upcoming road trip! ;)

Cant wait to read your reviews for this upcoming trip...:cheer2:
Thanks so much!

So funny that your trip ticker is a 3 (months) 3 (weeks) 3 (days) - cool! And to be going at such a magical time of the year!!! :)

Okay... I am FINALLY back and all caught up.

The plans sound great. I can't comment on your resort choices as we've never stayed at either (that clown pool causes me NOT to stay at BW).

I have read that! It is kinda freaky looking!

Love a lot of your dining plans...Yak & Yeti was great when we ate there, love the atmosphere at Sci Fi, Kona is one of our favorite breakfasts (we love Boma too). I'll be anxious to hear about Yachtsman as we are going there for Mark's special 60th birthday dinner in December. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed in LeCellier last year and don't think we'll be back for awhile.

I'll be sure to report back on Yachtsman. Sound like a great choice for a special milestone birthday celebration!

I was teary-eyed reading about your son. First, I will pray to God to keep him safe and thank him for protecting all of us. Great pictures of you and him at the wedding.

Ahhh.. thanks. I know you can relate to how quickly the years fly... As much as I miss babies, I love seeing my kids as adults and as with your son, getting married and establishing a life of their own. :goodvibes

I promise not to get too far behind again. Oh, and I want to know how you like it there in August as it looks like our 2013 will be in August.

Kathy - thanks for getting caught up! You are a legend around here so I am honored that you even stopped by! :goodvibes

Well, You just tuck him in the bed and run for the buses!!! :tiptoe: Once he gets there and gets into it, he will have fun and forget about that "resting" stuff!! :teeth:

Worker's Comp… Fun stuff! I work in healthcare, patient account services. My husband had the chance to go to Orlando this summer for a Fraternity Convention, but since we had to move, we didn't go. I hope they do it there again next year, so we can comp some of our Disney expenses!! :goodvibes

Ha ha! You are so funny about the nap stuff.

It took me a second to remember that your DH is a band director or similar? That now makes sense about the Fraternity Convention. Unless I'm really losing it.. I don't wanna know!

Loved the photos of your son. Moms and their boys, eh? Sending prayers for a quick and safe return!

Thanks Alysa, it is appreciated more than you know. I hope all is well with you. :goodvibes

You inspired me with the photo of your little cutie!!!

Awww....what a coincidence. An extra-long hug to your son is an honor on our behalf. :goodvibes

Thanks so much Barb. I am grateful for your kind words and well wishes.

Ha! You know your Vera!! :rotfl2: I actually dug that bag out the other day since I hadn't used it in a while.

For Akershus, I looked at my receipt from last time and it was $79.98 (for 2 adults) without any discounts during President's week in February - which I believe was a "high" season price wise. Just for kicks I looked at my receipt from April 2011 and it was $65.98 (for 2 adults) which sounds more like it. And yes, that the price includes a photo package. 1 8x10 photo.

I am so excited for you, Brenda!! You and your family are stunning! I think your oldest will need to learn the art of power napping. :)

Thanks Rosey!! Power napping!!! :p You are cute!

I'm just starting to read this thread and I already know it'll be really helpful(and fun!) to read. I am also near Disneyland and I'm just starting to pre-plan my firs ever trip to Florida. I'm also planning to upgrade to the premiere pass for the trip. Thanks for the report, I know I'll comment more as I continue to read.

Hi there Shannonkay!!! Thank you for reading and stopping by to comment. How exciting to look forward to your first East Coast Dis trip!! For us, it just feels like vacation. :beach: As much as we go to D-land it is still magical BUT we take so much for granted that we don't get as much out of it as we could.

You will have a big grin on your face the first time you use your "gold" AP after you upgrade.

I will be sure to drop by your PTR and tag along as well. :)

I'm just jealous that you may be able to work out a quick get together with Jabead for your upcoming road trip! ;)

There is a very slim chance that I may be visiting San Fran for work in October and if I do I am going to look to see if I can get a cheap flight to LAX and stay at DL for a couple of days before I head back to London ..... you never know, fingers crossed :goodvibes

Please, please, please let me know if that works out and I would love to get together! :yay: I understand it would be a little side trip from SF. I actually fly to SF on business frequently but I don't have any meetings in October.

Why do I all of a sudden feel very old? :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Oh my goodness... I definitely wasn't referring to ahem anyone's age!! ;) I will clarify my statement and say that you are a Dis GODESS around here!! :lmao:

O M G, how did I not see you had this PTR going on before now??? Being on the august board and on DDW's report, I never saw it until tonight. I beg for your forgiveness, but I am now caught up and happy to ride along. We will be at the World at the same time (8/23-8/31) and eating at some of the same places. Excited to read along and see how your trip went knowing we were there at the same times.

Oh my!!! How did I miss YOU too??? I don't make it to the August board too much since it goes way tooo fast for me. I do check it out to keep the excitement and anticipation going but I rarely post over there. Now I'm going to have to check it out.

If you run into us at any of the restaurants or elsewhere, please say hi. :goodvibes Did you post your dining plans on the August board? I'll have to check it out.

I see that you are staying at AoA - how cool is that to stay at a brand new resort!!!

Thanks for coming over to say hi - I'm REALLY glad that you did!!! :yay:

I'll be sure to let you know, hopefully I will have a better idea by the time I get back from my R66 trip but I have my fingers crossed :goodvibes

I did post our dining plans and our park day schedules on the August board. Did you post yours? I can't remember with all that goes on with that board. I have my mickey head tags that my DH will be wearing on the backpack in the parks. So if you see us, don't hesitate to say hi. :wave2:

Brenda I have read all your dining reviews and I have to say you are one of my absolute favorites! I love that you and your daughter travel so much together and you definitely do not look old enough to have three grown boys!

My DH sounds very similar to yours... I tried to sit down with him to discuss our ADRs/plans and his eyes started to glaze over rather quickly. Oh well, he'll just have to take back all his apathy when he tastes all the glorious goodness for himself :cool1:.

Yay! I am so happy I found your PTR! I have been super busy with work that I have not had a lot of Dis time :headache: Your lineup sounds so great! I hope you enjoy going to Yak and Yeti, Yachtsman, and Ohana for dinner. Those are all places we have been to multiple times. I can't wait to here what you ordered. I am heading back to the world next month with a girlfriend and she has no idea what she is in store for going with me and all my Disney food knowledge:rotfl:

I popped over and saw your ADRs - we are at Ohana the same night (we're 8:30pm) I didn't post mine - they keep changing so they would be obsolete by now!

I'm definitely going to be on the look out for any LGMH!

Hi Roma! Thanks so much for reading! You are so very kind in your comments. ;) Funny you mention the glazed over look for your DH, I tried to have Michael sit down with me tonight for 5 minutes to go over the latest dining line up and he told me it really didn't matter, he will eat where-ever. Where's the excitement!! :rolleyes1

Hi Lori! Thanks for joining in!! :goodvibes You inspired me with your Yachtsman review and I'm definitely looking forward to 'Ohana for dinner. :woohoo:

I saw that Jabead had you down for your October trip. How exciting!! Your girlfriend is lucky to have such a Dis expert on hand. :)

You must be SO proud of your son!! Thank you for sharing your wonderful family photos! I will be sending you and your family lots of good thoughts and pixie dust on December 15th!

I haven't been to DL since I was 6, I'd love to go back someday! How fun that you're so close!!

The photos of your family really brought a tear to my eye. Thanks for posting those and we will all be thinking of you on December 15th.

On a happier note, you inspired me to visit Forever 21 on my lunch break and I couldn't get anywhere near the checkout as the lines are so long at that time. So yesterday I tried a new strategy which was to sneak away from my desk right at 10 am when they opened and it worked like a charm! I got three cute new shirts!

Not long now Brenda! It's almost time to start packing!

I am so glad I inspired your to try YM, I hope you get a great server and not that disaster of one we had in May :lmao: We aren't going to YM but boy am I going to miss it.
