What's the best place for Prime Rib?

I'm looking for my birthday trip. I don't want a buffet, table service only.

Thanks!

Capt. Grill at the Yacht Club.

Capt. Grill at the Yacht Club.

I thought they took it off the menu -- is it back?

The best Prime Rib (ate there last week) is at the Turf Club at SSR. (1 TS credit) and not a buffet.

Le Cellier!

I ordered the prime rib at leCellier..and it looked like steak...It wasn't pink it was cooked on both sides...ate it because I had a crazy toddler that I had to get out of there but I really would not consider it prime rib...looked like a rib eye.:confused3

We did Boma this summer and last and it was a cut of beef but not Prime Rib. It was sliced paper thin, not a prime rib cut. Yachtman's and The Turf Club have nice prime rib!

I looked at their menu, but the price of their prime rib is comparable to Outback's price, so I wasn't sure what size serving it is (since Disney prices tend to be higher priced).

When we were at Yachtsman on 10-3-09, our server told us the Yachtsman removed the prime rib from their menu because it is served at the Capt. Grille next door.:confused3

I thought the same thing when I got the prime rib at Le Cellier. It seemed more like a steak than prime rib. I didn't care for it.

Shula's steak house at the Dolphin has the best beef on property. hands down. I don't think it's on the dining plan though.

Absolutely! :thumbsup2 Like you, I highly doubt it's on the dining plan.

I used to say YSH, but since they removed it from the menu, Shula's gets my vote. And no, it is not on the DDP.

The Schula's PR was terrific, but it was WAY too much for one person(male, big appetite guy speaking). Something like 33 or 44 ounces? GINORMOUS.
You may split it for a charge though:earsboy:

Unlike some of the other people who posted, my prime rib at Le Celler was truly "like" prime rib - it was very rare and not cooked on both sides like a steak. One wonders if they throw it on the grill if people order it medium well or well done :confused3 (which I would not expect a good restaurant to do unless someone asked them to.) I should add that the flavor was terrific but it was not as tender as I would have liked.

3 of us had it last week and we were all happy with it (cooked differently for each of us). It is a generous size also and about 1+ inch thick. It is well worth the money....but the Turf Club is still a secret to many of us. Unfortunately they took my favorite desert off the menu. They did a lava cake that was so much better than the wave at CR. Plus served with ice cream. I was disappointed that it was removed.

I ordered mine medium rare. Maybe it was just an off night. Perhaps they've changed how they cook it since I was there. Which would be great for me. I love prime rib!
