Prime Outlets, Grove City

Hi Everyone,

I was thinking of doing some shopping at the Primes Outlets in Pennsylvania next weekend, however, every hotel is booked solid.

Can anyone recommend any towns close by, or on route, I'm coming from Oakville, Ontario.

I was able to find some hotels available in Clarion, but I'm not sure how far it
is from Grove City.

Any advice?

You could try Meadville, PA it is north of GC so it should be on your way/way back, but about as far away as Clarion.

We went to GC without reservations and tried Meadville, and they had no rooms either so we ended up in Erie. Not too fun after a long day of shopping

This coming weekend will be crazy down there as they have Thanksgiving on Thursday and then Black Friday on the day after. This is their biggest shopping weekend apparently. (Wish I could go )!!!

We did this last year at Thanksgiving and stayed in Erie. It was not too far to go after the outlets. There is also really good shopping in Erie, which we did not know. Have fun!

Sharon, Pa is about 1/2 hour from Grove City outlets. Take a moment to eat at Quaker Steak and Lube, great pub food, famous for their wings.

You can also sneak in the back way to Grove City and avoid the Interstate.

Start your shopping early, very early. It will be chaos at the outlets.

I drove by the Grove City outlet last night - (US Thanksgiving Day) @ about 11:30pm (I'm presently travelling in the USA). The parking lot was PACKED with cars, with Black Friday shoppers.

Take a moment to eat at Quaker Steak and Lube, great pub food, famous for their wings.

I'll second the Quaker Steak stop. If you are passing though Erie, there is one there as well.

We just came home from Grove City. Actually stayed in Erie, at the Fairfield Inn at Millcreek Mall. Lots of shopping there. The mall is really nice, with a Toys R Us right there. The Walmart and Target are close too....there is even a Tim Hortons there. Drove down to Grove City yesterday for the day. Lots of great dealsl.....we shopped like crazy. The border wait time was about 5 minutes going there and we had no wait coming home.
This was my first time at the Prime Outlets and we plan on going again soon. We will also stay in Erie again....lots of restaurants, shopping and hotels there.

I went the weekend of nov 16-18, stayed at Springhill suites by marriott,
We did Millcreek mall, target, Kohls, there was A LOT in Erie, we also drove to prime outlets for a day.
I would definitly recommend staying ion Erie, It was great

We never made it to Pennsylvania last weekend, so we are planning on going next weekend.

I will look into booking a hotel in Erie, sounds like it has lots of great shopping.
